- I find it kind of impossible to listen to music and write at the same time without getting caught up and singing along like a doofus to the music you play because you will undoubtedly choose to play music that you are very fond of. If I did choose to use music as a tool for my creative energy I would pick lots and lots of Jay-z and Never Shout Never, and really anything but country music. I cannot stand country music. It makes me want to blow chunks. No offence, of course
