Excerpt
“GABE!” She cried out even louder, pushing as hard as she could on the door. She heard the click of the latch - the door had closed! - and she rammed the bolt across the door, locking it. Her wailing had gotten louder and more frantic, so loud that she didn’t hear Gabriel leaping out of bed to come and find her, and nor did she notice the little girl crouched on the closed toilet seat behind her.
