Well, hi, I'm Willow :)

I'm a fantasy obsessed, magic loving, sideline sewing and drawing writer. I write stories that need telling. Hopefully, if you've found your way here too, you understand this.

This year I will be writing with a wand close at hand and a headband on. No real reason why, it's just really fun that way.

I'm currently getting through editing (finished it two days before November - incredible or what?) an (to me at least) amazing fantasy novel with a rebellion, love gone wrong, powercraziness, and lots and lots of swords, which probably says a lot about me. I'm also in the middle of my last year of A levels, so everything's going on right now! I've done all I can to get my work done before November... but I take art. Art is a neverending pile of work, stretching on into infinity. You can always do more art. I also have a stage to design, but that's another story for another day.

Now the excuses are over and done with, I'll tell you something about me. Bluntly put, and badly phrased, I hate society. I hate the way it intrinsically stereotypes everyone. I hate the way that a child is given a blueprint of what to be from day one. Simultaneously, I miss the oral tradition of storytelling that we have. I'm also very bad at convincing myself that school work can wait, and actually getting some plot down on the page. This is my first year of NaNo, and I'm going to be using it to intertwine all of this. Hopefully! Confusing, I know, but I don't want to explain and spoil my plot twists! Well, twist. It's a big one. And probably very obvious.

I also love fairytale and legend, mainly Arthurian. This summer I decided to read Le Morte d'Arthur, insane as I am. Aside from the long and boring battle scenes and lack of speech marks, it was actually really good, though some of the pairings left me wondering what Malory was on! I'm still fuming about the fact that Gareth didn't marry Linet. If you've read it, you'll understand.

I've gone off on a tangent again. Whoops! Actually, that probably tells you all you need to know. There we go. I'm Willow, I'm a writer, and I go off on tangents when I attempt to write about myself. I'm English. We deflect all attention like a Someone Else's Problem Field. If this has not been improved by the time you read it, I'm very sorry. I'm awful at this sort of thing.
