Notes
Hurray, I just validated my novel, and I hope lots of you folks are doing the same thing (or have already done so!). Even if you did not reach 50k this year, you are all AWESOME simply for trying! And...there's always next year!
~ Sherry
The end is insight, you can do this! We are days away from being finished another year of literary abandon. For a few of us the word count bars have already turned that beautiful shade of "victory purple" for other we will be crossing that finish line any moment. For some of us (like me) there is going to be a few 10K+ days and many sleepless nights just to make it on time -but make it we will!
Keep writing! You Can Do THIS!
If you are in the area of Wolfville thinking about dropping in on the 12hr Write All Night tonight (Fri 25). It is from 7pm=7am. You can send a nanomail message to little1liz or AuroraLee for directions. It is a great chance to catch up on words, there will be cupcakes, and tons of ways to earn points. PLUS specialty points for those that travel far distances to join in the fun.

A week and a day--that's what's left!
But even if you are behind--do not give up! Amazing comebacks are par for the course during this magical month of word wizardry. I have seen many absolutely stunning come-from-behind wins during my NaNo years (although I have never done it--I am a November turtle, not a word count hare...but that's not to say you aren't of a rabbit-ish persuasion...hey, plot bunnies, rabbits...see how everything magically ties together during NaNo?)
Anyway, the late hour and lack of coffee is showing in this note. Back to my original point...and to quote one of my favorite movies...never give up, and never surrender!
We've passed the half way point and as more writer's approach (or pass) the finish line a few of us are lagging behind. It gives me flashbacks to gym class.
No matter where you are it's not too late! Don't give up. You can make it. You can do this!
Keep Writing!
Three Hours to go time....hope all you NS wrimos are have a sweet and fun night.
If you live near Kentville drop by the Kingstec library tomorrow between 11am and 2pm for the first of many write ins.
Happy Writing...and coffee (who needs sleep in November?)

Nova Scotia is a great place to live and write but we are so spread out and it is hard for some of us to join in the meet ups, write-ins, and parties. Too bad there wasn't some great technology advancement we could use to chat, encourage, and connect through during November, like some highway of digital information….
Writing in a solitary activity but no matter where you write or live you are not alone. You have a whole region of fellow wrimos cheering you on. If you’re looking for away to stay connected with other Nova Scotia::Elsewhere writers check out the new Word Wars thread.
Welcome to the newly-formed Nova Scotia :: Elsewhere region! All of NS used to be one region, but then the HRM got huge and it was decided they'd get their own region.
We have three Elsewhere MLs, and between us we cover most of the rest of the province.
