Camp Nanowrimo is coming! I'm excited, what about you?
Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday!
Please fill out the post-NaNo survey about our region! See the sticky, below.
Congratulations to everyone who logged even a single word this NaNo. We are all winners! If you would like a place to talk about writing through the rest of the year, please check out the thread about StringingWords. You're invited!
Details for the TGIO are now set. It will be at 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9, at The Winchester Arms in Dundas (120 King St. W., Dundas). Please see the stickied thread for more info and to RSVP.
Wafflepalooza! Yes, it's happening! Check out the FRIDAY thread for details!
Believe it or not, it's time to start talking about the TGIO party. Check the stickied thread and let us know your preference for day and location.
Please remember to RSVP for the Midway Party if you're planning to attend tomorrow. I am intending to call the restaurant with an accurate count at about 5 today. We can probably squeeze in a few more, if someone comes without RSVPing, but if a big gang of you do, there might be a problem.
Wednesday is Donation Day! Consider making a donation directly to the OLL (NaNo HQ) to fund NaNoWriMo and the Young Writers Program so that 350,000 adults, teens and children can continue to get support and encouragement in moving their stories out of their imaginations and onto the page.
Midway party is now set! Sunday, Nov 18, @ 6 p.m., Kelsey's at 875 Main St. W. in Hamilton. Please RSVP in the stickied thread!
Time to start thinking about the Midway Party. Check out the thread, stickied below.
Daylight Savings Time starts on Sunday! Turn your clocks BACK and get an extra hour of writing time.

Only 24 hours to go! What's your strategy for Day One?

Welcome to NaNo 2012! Please check in at the "Introduce Yourself Here" thread. And, are you ready to start thinking of the Kick-Off Party? Check that thread, too! Whoo hoo! NaNo is really happening! ~ Gale
New Mod! Welcome, chrisk0! I'm pleased that long-time WriMo Chris has been selected as our region's new co-ML. Chris and I have already been talking about plans for the coming NaNo. Many thanks to Rhonda (girlwithapearl) for her four years as co-ML.
Can you believe that NaNo is less than 2 months away? I have already ordered swag, and they told me yesterday that it has shipped. So it should be here in good time for the Kick-Off Party. The 2012 stickers are excellent! I also have left-over stickers from 2011, which I'll have available at the Kick-Off. ~ Gale
I don't know who all is doing Camp NaNoWriMo this June, but if you are, I've started a thread here in the region to talk about it.
Happy New Year! Do your new year's resolutions include writing or editing? If so, you may want to check out "Life After NaNo".
Merry Christmas or Happy Hannukah, to those who observe them. And happy holidays to all!

In 2009, it was flying monkeys and dancing bananas. Last year, many of us had vomiting or spitting eagles. Ew!
This year? It's the LAND SQUID! You are invited to find a way to include a land squid in your novel.
