So...

Lancashire had an average word count of 43,863 words and 57% winners.

Cumbria had an average word count of 27132.2 words and 30% winners.

I declare Lancashire the winner.

Last day everyone, its been a good month and I have loved being the ML and encouraging you all, and have lots of plans, mostly in my head as yet, for next year.

There will be one last online write in tonight at 8pm in the regional chat room, so if you are still writing, then I hope you will join me, and if you are finished, then I hope you will join me in cheering on those who are still heading for 50k.

Depending on when everyone who logs on gets to the winning line, and how tired I am, I will probably be extending the write in until midnight, and the end of nano.

If you are still writing, then please put your name in the new 'who is still heading for 50k' thread so we can cheer you on.

Well, the chat room kicked me off and when I got back, everyone had gone. But I was asked whether there would be anymore online planning sessions. To which the answer is no, there won't be anymore planning meetings before nano starts.

But tthere's a kick off event in Blackpool tomorrow, we're walking through some of the illuminations and then going to Wetherspoons, Albert and the Lion. If you can come, we're meeting at 5.

And then there will be an online kick off event on wednesday, but we'll just be chatting then.

But feel free to use the chat room to meet up with others any time you want.

First online write in will be on friday.

Thanks to all those that came to the chat meeting tonight, though the chat room isn't brilliant, I thought it went well.

October 17th is prep day so read the breaking news on the main nanowrimo page.

Making an executive decision, the kick of illumination walk event will be on Monday 29th October. Meet at 5pm outside Weatherspoons and we'll go and look at the pretty lights before returning to Weatherspoons. And if its raining, we'll leave the walk and just go into Weatherspoons.

Have added the two facebook groups for this region, that I know of, to the links.

Need to know, for those that can get to Blackpool for the kick off illumination walk, which date is better? Monday 29th october or Tuesay 30th october? Reply to the kick off thread. Thank you.
