Congratulations to everybody! To those who reached 50,000 and those who did not. We all tried and did our best! Let's continue doing so in the coming months!

Today is the last day!!! Time to give it your best!! Food? Fresh air? Sun? What's that? Forget all that is not writing. Today exists only for writing! Type, type, type. Write, write, write!

Tomorrow' s write-in will start at 1pm and will go on for five/six hours (or otherwise for as long as we can go on for!)

Thank you all for coming yesterday to the write-a-thon! It was a blast!! And thank you for bringing the wine, beer, candy and home made brownies!!

Tomorrow, Saturday (the 19th) is our next write-in!! It'll be in Cafe Juliani in St. Julians from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Hope to see you all there!

Happy (belated) Nano Midpoint!! We're half-way through! If you're on time with the word count : congratulations and keep up the good work! If you're behind : no worries, that's what the next 14 days are for! For a boost in word count come to the next write-in (19.11.11).

The regional word count scoreboard (under " Fun Stuff") is not up yet - but it will be, and once it is up we'll be able to see how much words in total Malta has - all of our individual word counts will be added up and displayed. It will be either pride or shame in the face of the world! So let's make sure we do Malta region proud!

It's Back Up Your Novel Again Day! Time to put your lovely literary masterpiece on a USB flash drive, hard drive, or save it in your email! Whatever you do, remember to back it up just in case!

The next write-in will be in Cafe Juliani (St Julian's), Saturday the 12th, 12 p. m. - 5 p.m. Hope to see y'all there!

It's Back Up Your Novel Day! So if you haven't done it yet, this is a perfect moment to take a few minutes break from your writing and make sure what you're written so far will not get lost, mysteriously disappear, or perish at the hands of malicious PC viruses : save your novel on a flash drive, external hard drive, or in your email.

The first pep talk is in! It should be in your Nano mail.

Also, a reminder that our write-in is happening today @ the Talk of Town cafe, the Palace Hotel, Sliema. An excellent opportunity to catch up on the word count and caffeine intake!

Only 9 hours to go! Time to stock up on supplies and make the final preparations. Make sure you have enough coffee to last you through the midnight hours, enough snacks to munch on to give you energy to last till morning hours, and perhaps some wine or a beverage of your choice to spark your imagination in case you get stuck in a scene or just can't find the right words. NaNoWriMo starts tonight!
