Good morning SWFL Wrimos!
It is crunch time! I won’t keep you too long; I know some of you are still furiously writing trying to get those last thousand (or ten thousand) words down before the clock hits 11:59 PM EST.
But If you wanna win, you GOTTA Validate your novel. There are two ways to access it. One is by hovering over the ‘My NaNoWriMo’ tab, on it you should see ‘Validate my Novel’
The second way to get to it is through the ‘My Novel Info’ tab. There should be a link that says ‘I Am Ready to Validate my Novel’ under the ‘Edit Novel’ tab.
Once you click one of those, there should be a pop up. It says ‘Word Count Validator, Paste your word count below.’ You can paste in your novel, you can encrypt it or change the words, or you can even generate fifty-thousand words of lorem ipsum. Just paste it in there and hit submit!
I’d say do this sooner rather than later—Just in case you’re ekeing by and the word counter on-site is different than yours!
Now that I’ve filled you in, I want to tell you about donating.
I don’t like to talk to much about it, but this year it’s important. They’re a few hundred thousand dollars short of making their goal this year. If you have any money you’d like to contribute, I would say to do it. These are the people that fill your Novembers with crazy efficiency and chaos, and most of all passion. So if you have a few extra dollars to blow, think about giving it to the Office of Letters and Light (OLL). If you like getting something for donating, and the donation goodies aren’t enough? Maybe head to the store and buy a poster or a t-shirt. All the proceeds from the store also go to the OLL.
Anyway! See you tonight at the write-in if you’re coming. It’s at 6:00 in Naples at the Starbucks off of Pine Ridge/Vineyards (in the Publix plaza).
TL;DR: VALIDATE YOUR NOVEL. And donate if you’ve got some money to blow! See you tonight in Naples at Starbucks @6:00.
Good Afternoon Wrimos!
I hope that everything’s clicking for all cylinders for you at this point. You should be hitting around 33K tonight, but if that’s not you, fear not! The ca-raziness of the holidays is upon us, and I’m sure you’ll be able to find a few minutes to yourself to eke out a couple thousand more words this week.
Since the month is winding down, it’s time to talk celebrations! I want to have the Thank God It’s Over Party either:
Saturday, December 1st, or
Saturday, December 8th,
Time may be discussed once date is penned down. If you have any inkling of going at all PLEASE Email me with your response. Just email. Chococow88@gmail.com if you would be so kind!
Write-ins this week are just the one tomorrow at the Starbucks at the Forum, and the one in Sarasota on Sunday at 2:00 at the Starbucks off Clark Road. I’ve already got a couple of confirmations for both of them, so I’ll see you guys on Wednesday and Sunday respectively!
TL;DR?: 35K’s around the corner. Pick your date for the End Party! See you at 6:00 on Thursday/2:00 on Sunday if you’re coming to a write-in!
Good morning Wrimos!
First things first. SARASOTA WRIMOS. There is a write-in this Sunday at 2:00 at the Starbucks on Clark Rd. I want to avoid the no-show thing that happened last year. So if you can go, please RSVP! Nanomail me or email me at chococow88@gmail.com .
There is a write-in tonight! It’s going to be in the Starbucks in Naples off of Pine Ridge Rd. at 6:00.
I’ll be wearing a fluorescent green shirt, and as such will be almost impossible to miss! Come ready to do some sprinting!
Also, we have a write-in in Lehigh on Saturday at 2:00! It’ll be either in one of the small study rooms or the conference rooms. I will have to call them tomorrow to confirm, but either way, the library staff there are quite friendly. Just let them know you are there for the writing club and they should be able to direct you!
TL;DR: Sarasota Wrimos, RSVP for this Write-in on Sunday. Naples and Lehigh Wrimos? Your write-ins are tonight and Saturday, respectively!
Thank you for coming in to write! We had wrimos at every write-in! We're already doing better than last year! We're so cool.
There are two write-ins this week, please let me know if you can make either of them.
AND it's Back-Up Your Novel Again Day! Do it! Avoid Tragedies!

So, I don't think anyone is here for my South Fort Myers write-in, but if you are here for it and I just don't know it, I'm in the big circular room, wearing a fluorescent green shirt! If you want to come join me be my guest.
Otherwise, I'll be writing! ;)

Good morning Wrimos! I just wanted to let you know that tonight is our first Thursday night write-in.
I HAVE CHANGED THE TIME to 6:00 PM. It gives everyone (myself included) more time to get there!
It'll be at the Panera Bread off of U.S. 41 in Pagefield Commons. The address is:
5037 South Cleveland Avenue
Fort Myers, FL 33907
(239) 274-0294
See you then! I'll be wearing the fluorescent yellow shirt!

Hey SWFL Wrimos! I hope that your first 5 days are going splendidly!
Today is Back Up Your Novel Day Part I! Put it on your google drive, put it on a hard drive, print it out--whatever you have to do! But make sure that if tragedy strikes, your novel isn't left to the ashes!

Good morning Wrimos! Hope your day is going well and that your word counts are soaring!
Just to remind you, there is a write-in in Naples tonight. I will NOT be in attendance, but I want you all to have a great time without me!
If one of you could tell the Starbucks staff that you're there for a writing club, the rest of you could find each other a lot easier.

Thank you SO much to everyone that was able to stop by the Kick-Off party today. It's so nice to see all of your real, smiling faces!
Unfortunately my gators lost, so I'm in a crummy mood. But yay writing!
Hey Wrimos!
Today is the day of the kick-off! I hope to see some of you there! Right now I think there's about 6-8 people going, so we'll have a fun little party.
This is me: http://imgur.com/kVz44
So now you know who to look out for. I'll be wearing really loud orange and blue (It IS Gameday after all!)
Welcome back WriMos! Hope that you've all got your writing caps dusted off in preparation for another great year of writing.
Our Kick-Off Party will be on Saturday, October 27th. Location and Time will be following soon!
Make yourself at home, and if you need any help, just let me know!
