It's the final push! I've got 7000 words to go (and a plot to wrap up!)
We can do this thing!
Congratulations to all who are crossing the finish line already!

9 days and 15000 words to go---
Well, we all have 9 days to go, some of us have much more or much less than 15,000 words to go! :)
Whether you have lots of time off this Thanksgiving weekend, or are booked solid until Monday, think about your story when you aren't in actual conversation with coworkers, customers, family or our of town relatives...and write on your novel whenever you get a moment to yourself.
I give you permission to sneak your laptop into the bathroom, or pretend to need a nap but really just need to write, or mute the football game so you can concentrate, or ask your family to do the dishes to give you just a little more time....
~Lissa
We've reached the halfway point of the month, but don't panic if you haven't reached the halfway point in your word count. Tremendous things can happen in the last two weeks of November. I've seen it happen before. So strap yourself in, give your fingers a good stretch, and let your characters take over for awhile. You can do it!

We're in Week Two and still going strong! I'm so proud to see many new and veteran writers reaching and surpassing their word count goals.
Those of you who like to write 20,000 words in the last few days are already making me nervous, but I've seen you do it before and I know you can do it again. (My MC this year is a very anxious person and it's starting to get to me!)

Kickoff was AWESOME tonight with almost 50 people in attendance!
Thank you to everyone who made the effort to get out to the library --I love seeing our beautiful writerly faces all gathered together before we hide away behind the glow of our computer screens for the next month.
This is going to be a GREAT month of fiction writing. Bring on the zombies, or aliens, or dead bodies, or unexpected romances, or serial killers, or mutants, or scientifically improbably events, or horse drawn carriages or significant glances conveying great meaning or tornadoes or talking pigs or winning lottery tickets or castles or whatever this month holds in store for your novel. Because we are READY to WRITE. (Starting in 48 hours and 39 minutes...)
Writing begins in a little over a week.
Who can you convince to join us in writing 50000 words in 30 days this year?
