Notes
The plans have come together for our 2001 NaNoWriMo TGIO Holiday Party. One of our newest additions to the NaNoWriMo family, Joy Allen, has graciously offered the use of her beautiful home in downtown Wilmington for this event.
The details of the party are as follows:
DATE
Sunday, December 11th
TIME
6 P.M. – 8 P.M.
ADDRESS
104 South 6th St.
Wilmington, NC 28401
There should be ample parking along 6th St.
INVITEES
ALL NaNoWriMo participants from the Wilmington region and their families or significant others are invited to attend.
FOOD
We have decided to have a potluck-style format for the party. You can either email me through NaNoWriMo with what you would like to bring or post it on the TGIO PARTY - POTLUCK topic on our regional forum page.
Bringing a dish is not mandatory in order to attend but it is appreciated.
GIFTS
We will also have a White Elephant (Yankee Swap) gift exchange for anyone that would like to participate. The item should be new and cost no more than $10. Please be sure to wrap your item. The gift can be as funny or as serious as you want.
RSVP
Please RSVP by either emailing me through NaNoWriMo or posting your plan to attend on the TGIO PARTY - RSVP forum topic. Try to RSVP by next Friday (12/9) so we can have an approximate number for Joy and those bringing food.
DISCUSSION
There has been interest from several participants this year to explore the idea of starting a local club or perhaps Meetup group. The objectives would revolve around writing, editing and publishing works of all lengths - including NaNoWriMo (pre and post activities), contests, classes, and more.
Any input on this subject will be appreciated regardless of whether or not you can attend the party.
Our final write-in is almost here. We are all about the sugar rush to help get us past the finish line at this point in the month.
We will be meeting from 6 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday the 29th.

Not even close! Great job everyone. Let's finish strong.
