If you would like to join the Y-City Writers for our Christmas Party, December 20 at 6:30-8:00 at Ruby Tuesday's, you are welcome. Just let me know if you will be attending, so we can add you to the count we give the restaurant. This is a non-threatening way to meet other area writers.
T.G.I.O. Party is this Saturday at 1:00 PM at Pizza Hut on Maple Ave.
Remember I am buying 2 pizzas.
Let me know if you can make it, so I can warn the restaurant if we are a big group.
Congratulations to you all. Even if you don't reach the 50 k mark by midnight tonight, you have created some valuable habits with your daily writing! After this month, please try to write something everyday. Remember 1page/day x 365 days = 1 novel.
Today's write-in is at the Crossroads Library in Cambridge. I won't be able to make it, due to my husband's doctor appointment in Columbus. You can bet that I'll be trying to crank out the last 5,000 words of my novel along with you.
Good Writing! Please feel free to friend me here, on facebook, I want to know how your books turn out.
~Rita L. Smith
Good Morning all! I will be busy typing today, tomorrow and Wednesday to get 10,000 more words written. I hope you are in better shape than me.

Good Writing! Rita
Keep going, I have faith in you. Remember every word you type brings you closer to a completed novel!
I am writing with you in spirit, while we wait for Ken's doctor to make an appearance. ~Rita

Get over the weekend slump by free writing. Just write whatever comes to mind! Why am I saying this? Because I am in a writing slump today.
Don't forget to back up your story. Some people are emailing themselves their stories.
When writing a novel a writer should create living people; people not characters. A character is a caricature.

Good Monday, NaNoWriMos!
By the end of today our word counts should be 11669 for day 7 for those of you who want to stay on track. Remember every little word counts when trying to write a novel. Whether or not we win or lose NaNo, if you get into the habit of writing daily, you are a winner!
This reminds me of a poem called, "I Write in a Laundrymat." Look it up. It's a good idea for us all.
Accountability and Deadlines are what NaNoWriMo mean to me. I seem to work better on a deadline and with you all to hold me accountable!
I hope your first day of writing went well! Don't forget to record your word count in the little box up above. You won't need to upload your story until after you reach your 50000 word goal before or on November 30.
Our next write-in is Friday at Sojourner's at 11:30-1. Would you like to move the time to a later slot?
