USA :: Oregon :: Eugene/Lane County
Notes
Who is going to Camp NaNoWriMo this year? Which session? June or August? Visit campnanowrimo.org to sign up and get your cabin assignment.
We will be hosting Campfire Chats all summer, especially during June and August. Check out the Chat Room thread below for information about registering and accessing our region chat room.
Keep an eye on the region calendar for important dates and events. See y'all at Camp!
TGIO Party is tonight (Saturday, December 3rd) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the upstairs meeting room at Market of Choice on West 29th Avenue and Willamette Street, Eugene.
This is your last opportunity to collect the NaNoWriMo sticker, 50,000 word pin, chat room virtual gems, and the TGIO marble.
Email or text Darfinkle or Tyrinea if you need a ride. As a reminder, this venue is free and has no purchase obligation.
Have you checked out the Region Stats in the Links box? Oregon :: Elsewhere has blown past us in word count! According to the Faces page, a lot of us are behind in our personal word count. I dare you to catch up before the end of the weekend. Do it in short sprints. Set an timer for 15 minutes, write like mad, take a five minute break, and repeat.
Are you collecting marbles? Make a donation to the Office of Letters and Light supporting NaNoWriMo and earn a special marble. A $10 donation places a halo on your profile picture.
By posting in the Writerly Introductions thread, you can then compare your word count to that of other members of our region via the Faces tool. Look for Faces in the Links box on the right, and then select our region from the list on the index page.
Did you know that by attending the events listed on the region calendar, you can earn marbles? If you attend the virtual write-ins, you earn virtual gemstone marbles. At the end of the month, you will have a first draft of a novel and all your marbles.
