Notes
Final Write-Ins!! There are 3 remaining Write-Ins to help you scramble towards victory: Monroeville and Oakland on Tuesday the 29th, and at Pitt on Wednesday the 30th (check the Google calendar for details). Good luck everyone: the final moments are here!!!
Don't forget to RSVP for the TGIO Party today! This Thursday night, come rejoice (or lament!) with your fellow writers for one last NaNoWriMo 2011 bash! Hope to see as many of you guys there as possible!! Even if you don't cross 50k by midnight on Wednesday, you have still earned some pasta! :)
UPDATED NOTE ON TGIO PARTY: Please RSVP by the end of this coming Sunday, as there will be a special treat at the party, and I want as many people as possible to be able to get it :) See the thread below!
TGIO Party info is up! Please check the thread below and RSVP if you are interested in coming! :)
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN LOCATION FOR TONIGHT'S CITY WRITE-IN!! Due to availability issues with the 'big' room at the Beehive, we will meet at Kiva Han in Oakland. See the Google Calendar for address. :)
Butler Write-In tonight!! It somehow got eaten on the Google Calendar, boo. If you need to boost that word count, please come to the Butler Panera (330 New Castle Street) this evening from 6-9pm (in the VIP Room, woo woo!).
New Write-In added for today! Duquesne Write-In at the Gumberg Library, 12p - 5p on 11/12/11. Also today, Ambridge 10-1 and Monroeville 10-2. Check the Google Calendar for details! :)
New Write-Ins added! Check the Google calendar for the latest events!
URGENT! We need a handful of WriMo veterans to volunteer to be Mentors. We just had a whole bunch of new-Newbies sign up tonight, so if you can help a first-timer out, please check out the Adopt-a-Newbie thread below and apply. It's a fun program, and will hopefully result in some new friendships as well! Newbies - I will have your mentors for you as soon as I can. :)
Pitt Write-In location update! The Write-In this evening will be held in the Student Union, ground floor (if you went to the Pitt meetings last year, it is the same spot).
Hope everyone had a great day 1! Thank you everyone who came out to our first three events!
Newbie and Mentor matches have been sent out!! Mentors, check your NaNoMail for info on your Newbie. And Newbies, expect a NaNoMail from your Mentor very soon! (If the links don't work, I apologize. I couldn't tell if .html was allowed in the NaNoMail messages or not!) If anyone has any questions, please let me know!
Writing buddies are back up!! It appears you have to re-add all those friends you have accumulated over the years... so get to work! :)
Hey guys, if possible, we could use 4 more mentors for newbies before Saturday. Please check out the Adopt-a-Newbie thread below and sign up if you haven't! More newbies are welcome to apply as well, of course. I will make the magic happen and match you all up this weekend. :)
Also coming on Friday, your favorite 'where to write this week' post!
Kick-Off Party RSVP has ended! Thank you to everyone who responded. If you posted your RSVP prior to 7pm last night (Sunday, Oct 23), you are in! If you didn't get your response in in time, you can send me a NaNoMail to be put on the backup list in case anyone cancels. Alternatively, feel free to come out to Church Brew Works at noon on the 30th anyway, and ask for a table near us (with 32 people, we are going to be at multiple tables near each other anyway).
Looking forward to meeting everyone!!
Kick-Off Party RSVP Extended!
In light of the delay of regional email availability this month, I am extending the Kick-Off Party RSVP a bit. You can RSVP any time between now and 6pm tomorrow (Sunday, October 23). Please read the Kick-Off Party thread in the forum below. Can't wait to see everyone!!
