Piedmont/Jacksonville area write-ins?

I'm in the Piedmont/Jacksonville area and was wondering if anyone else is in this neck of the woods who would like to try and get a group together for a write-in at some point?

Or maybe just for coffee and some brain storming?

Anniston/Oxford and Centre or other surrounding areas are more than welcome to respond as well.

ANNOUNCEMENT - 11/22 Evening of Scribbling Recklessly - Nashville, TN

Dear Neighboring Regions (and Australia),
Greetings from fly, the ML for NaNo Nashville. This year, we are having our own ginormous write a thon, which we'll be holding the same time those out in Cali are having theirs (well, mostly). We would very much like you all to come. In fact, I would very much like to have so many writers that our total writers word count EXCEEDS that of the Cali event.

Details are as follows. Please post here if you can come.
NOTE: You only need to RSVP to one thread for this event.

The Evening of Scribbling Recklessly is on 11/22 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Nashville.

Where: 2300 Knights of Columbus Blvd. Nashville, TN

Where? - From I-40, exit Briley Parkway South (exit 215A), take the first LEFT onto Knights of Columbus Blvd.

When - 11/22 from 4-10 PM.

Important Notes:
$10 donation required for admission. This is in addition to any donation you've made. I will waive this for anyone that can prove they came from Australia.
Bring a side dish to share. Remember, we're pretty much all going to have computers handy, so stay away from really messy stuff. :)

We will be having a ton of giveaways.
You can get tickets for these givaways in a number of ways:
- Admission fee. Yes, you automatically get tickets for showing up.
- Bringing a dish to share like you're supposed to
- Wear a NaNo t-shirt. This can be from any year, and can be national or regional. I'll also accept Script Frenzy and Office of Letters and Light shirts for this.

- Additional tickets can be purchased.

Trussville/Leeds/Moody/Pinson/Odenvile areas write in?

I don't have a license so it's hard for me to get to any of the other write-ins, so it would be awesome if we had one around where I live. I know the Trussville Library does have a small space in it with three tables, it can accommodate about 12 people, not to mention a few other chairs here and there, and I don't want everyone to be spread about. Does anyone know of another place that people in the Jefferson/St. Clair County areas can meet?

Central Alabama?

So I just moved to the area and I don't know a single writer around! I used to belong to all kinds of writers groups and we had all kinds of fun meetings, write-ins, brainstorming sessions, and what not. I miss that. Is there anyone out there in Central Alabama - Pelham, Alabaster, Montevallo, Clanton? Anywhere. I'd love to meet some writers in the area and have someone face to face that understands the writers plight.

Tuscaloosa Area Folks

Howdy ya'll!

I was a lurker in these forums last year, and noticed them being used by Tuscaloosa area folks to organize write-ins and get togethers (which was totally awesome). I have some good news, though.

Tuscaloosa is now it's own region for NaNoWriMo! We have our own forums to organize events, and will be having regularly scheduled write-ins and a few other fun events. So please join the region so that you can stay current on what's going on when :-)
