So. What's new? How's it going? Whatcha doing? This is the thread for idle chit chat. And Arnold's updates on what he's eating. And other such minor details that don't really go anywhere else. Jabber to your heart's content!

How is it that Arnold isn't eating anything weird yet?

'Cause it's not November yet, duh.
Sarah, we need to talk about the Vicites. xD Blah, we need a better name. Maybe the Junior Literary Ninjas? xD Anyways. I've talked to Ms.J, and she says it's okay so long as we decide when. =D
Which is exciting. -claps hands- I'd like to have a few guest speakers this year... maybe Ben, Arnold, Karen AND Sarah! -claps hands- Maybe cookie-makers! (coughs at Aubin).
Okay. I'm tired now. xx;

Sure, Dani, although you'll probably have an easier time getting me than Karen - my schedule's a lot more flexible. Let me know what you want to set up.

I know as a former "hard-core" gamer... I have lived on nothing but potato chips, pizza pops, 2 litre bottles of pop, and tea (yes tea, with pleanty of cream and sugar).
I'm thinking this would come in handy here...

I am just posting to see if they really did fix that whole no time stamp in the main forum page thing because I think they did! Oh please oh please oh please...

S'all good. =D
I actually have a CAR this year, so I shall be available for pick-up and drop-off, just so long as there's room after the Vicites, if they're so inclined to. =D

XD wow. that's sad. when you said CAR, I thought it was actually an acronym for something. Of course, that was before I actually READ it
y'know what's also sad? saying "I wonder if that's what they look like IRL?" outloud, in regards to a poster seen on the LRT, In Real Life. ><'''
... if you're curious, it was the rooster posters for CityTV's breakfast show. they've got the rooster on them, but they've got this weird thing coming from right behind the rooster's eyes. I don't think they actually have them, but I don't really know either. >< and I just said that to my roomate as we were heading downtown today.

I saw it too! It was so awesomely cool (again; it was my 4th time seeing it overall), although I wouldn't recommend that anyone go see anything on IMAX when they are feverish, like I was XD But three of us wore light-up T-shirts and many people asked us where we got them :3

I don't know if I like the way these forums post direct replies to various posts :( It'll be hard to keep up with a thread in general...

I've seen it in theaters three times. West End, South Side and Vegas.
I booked the opening day off work to go see it.

I don't like it either. I vote that people only use the reply button at the bottom of the page, not the ones in specific posts.

... do you think it would help to keep folks clear on what thread is what if we change the subject line when we reply?
Just tossing it out there. :)

I am reeeeally bad at remembering to look at the little subjects, so I vote we all just use our excellent writery skills (and the hopefully soon-arriving quotes!) to make it clear what we are responding to when we post.
And on that note...look, I'm posting! I didn't get timed out! Huzzah!

So, I was digging in a drawer of stuff I've had forever. My roommate and I recently watched three Babylon 5 movies and I'm totally re-hooked on it. (Watch for me at Pure Spec in uniform XD She was quite impressed that I have a seemingly random B5 uniform in my closet...) And in my Drawer of Stuff, I found some notebooks that I've also had forever, and inside those books was some old writing of mine.
By old, I mean 10-11 years.
It's so TERRIBLE. Like, really, really, REALLY terrible. I only skimmed it. But in it was some of the characters that I wrote my novel 2 years ago with, and it was kinda funny to see them in their infancy.
Also, it's 4 am, I have insomnia and I can't sleep, and behind me on the bed is my cat, covering her eyes with her paw. It looks like she's trying to avoid the light of my lamp XD
So, how was everyone's turkey dinners? I'm still stuffed.

Didn't end up with any turkey this year. When we thought Simon had mumps, we were going to stay home in quasi-quarantine, but then just before supper on Friday we finally got the test results and they were negative, so we went to visit my mom on Saturday. I think the general up-in-the-airness of our plans resulted in a lack of turkey, but we had ham anyway, and pumpkin pie, so that's all right.
We couldn't find much for restaurants in Valleyview to eat lunch at, because apparently most of them decided that Thanksgiving Monday was a good time to be closed. So we had to settle for the Esso diner. Oh, well, we stopped at DQ in Whitecourt.
Reaper tonight!

Does anyone know what it means when a vein in your left tricep starts beating like it's a heart? Seriously, this thing definitely is weird, you can feel it pump when you put your hand against it.

So here I sit with my laptop, trying to convince myself that sleep will be just so much more interesting than the boards... and failing. I'm attempting to relieve the "Omg, only days before starting and I have little to no plot" anxiety by explaining (more like ranting about) Nano to someone who just can't see the point in writing. They attempt to shut me up by saying the idea is "Neat," and I reply with: I suppose you could call it that, if you call running around a public place in a ninja outfit with a coffee in one hand, a notebook in the other, and a root-beer covered laptop strapped to your head screaming "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!" neat. *nods* Wow, maybe I really do need some sleep.
