I brought some coffee. Can someone go grab it out of thr trunk of my car? Again, HELP!!! These platters need to get to that table WITHOUT tipping over and spilling the contents on the floor! Heeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllpp!!

*Meanders up behind Pen and sees him struggling through the door ahead, arms full of goodies, and an open trunk. Grabs the hot coffee out of the trunk, checks to make sure the keys aren't inside, closes the hatch and follows in with the coffee and a plate full of homemade mint brownies.*
Hello, all! It's so lovely to be here, finally. Looks like we're in for a weight-gaining October! We'll need the extra fat to burn through November thought, when nobody's eating right. Right? Right.

I'm starting to get excited about November! Maybe this will help me get to stepping on the story ideas. They are sadly lacking right now.

Me too!!
I'm still hobbling along on my WarmUp, still right around 12k right now. But, any writing is good, right? And I've made more progress on it (my 2005 NaNo) since then, which is even better. I think, if I keep up at this pace, I can still finish it before November.
But, I need to figure out my 2007 NaNovel! I have just a couple vague ideas, and nothing's really materializing. *pout*
It's great to see you all here!
*helps herself to massive vanilla bean creme brulee* Mmmm, my favorite!

It's great to see everyone over here!
(By the way, is anyone having problems logging in to the PubYe site? Because it won't let me log in.)

Waaaahhhh! I broke it, it's all my fault!! No tomatoes, please!
I was trying to fix the timeout issue (how it will log you off after a certain amount of inactivity) and I must have turned off the wrong thing. *sniff* So now it will log you in, but then off again immediately. *double sniff* I've emailed lilywhite so hopefully she can go in and fix it.

I couldn't get into PubYe earlier either...glad it wasn't just me! :)
I'm not doing very well...I don't think I'm going to make the warm-up goal *cries* I've only got a little over 8,000. Things were crazy hectic this week and I just didn't have the time. I guess I still have 5 more days but I don't know! :(

Oh yum, hot cinnamon rolls. I wasn't going to throw tomatoes in the first place, but now I feel like I want to plant a tomato garden and make you gourmet ketchup =)
*snags a cinnamon roll and pours a cup of coffee*
Thank you!
As far as the WarmUp, I don't think I'm going to make it either... I plan on one or two more writing days this week, but I've discovered that I'm going to have to put a LOT of time into reseraching cancer and AIDS to get anywhere with my NaNo. Harumph. I read so much medical jargon yesterday...
Nice to see the party smilies =)

I hit 12,000 last night and am hoping to write another 6,750 by Sunday night. That doesn't put me anywhere near the goal, but that's ok because any writing is good writing!

Hey everyone! I'm soleta_nf on PubYe too. I've been sporadicly active in PubYe over the last year. I hadn't been on in a couple of months when I checked on it a couple of days ago. So I missed the warm-up, but I did my own 10k warm up this weekend with LJ friends, and am doing it again this weekend. It's nice to have an outlet for all the positive writing energy you get before Nano! Might as well use some of it now instead of saving it all for November!

Hi, ya'll -- I'm back ... f-i-n-a-l-l-y.
Is anyone else having trouble getting on or staying on the 'PubYe.org site?
About 45 min. ago, I was on 'PubYe -- minding my own business, you understand -- when suddenly the site locked-up (or something) and wouldn't let me back in.
Anyone got any idea what the problem is?
~ Nanette
Edit: Ah man, that's what I get for being impatient. 'PubYe just let me back on. :rolls eyes:
Sorry for the false alarm.

Hmm.... so when the insanity of November begins, will people be bouncing back and forth between two forums?
I know at least I will because it's twice the procrastination time. ^_^

Me, me!!! I will, that's for sure. 'Specially during work hours. ;-)
(completely unrelated question, but is there a way to reply to forums without an additional "RE:" appearing in the subject line? I feel like a dolt... unless all of you are deleting those extra "RE:"'s too! )

will people be bouncing back and forth
between two forums? ..."
You bet! As far as I'm concerned, it's the only way to go. ;-) My first 'WriMo was 2004 and I joined 'PubYe two days afterwards. Since then, 'PubYe and 'WriMo have been my favorite writing duo.
additional "RE:" appearing in the subject line? ..."
The extra "RE" is added if we click the "Reply" button on any of the posts themselves. Doing so can also make our posts appear in a different order than we usually expect, especially if we have it set to be read in "Thread" and/or "collapsed" modes. That's why 'WriMo's techies recommend we read the threads in "Flat-expanded" mode.
To avoid all that -- esp. the dreaded extra "Re:" -- just use the "Reply" buttons at the top or bottom of the thread. They are replies to the whole thread -- and act as tho' we're answering RebaZ's first post over and over and over. ;-)
Hope that helps!
14 days and counting!
~ Nanette.
