Hi gang, I'm Tamm and a few of you may remember me from last year. I only made it to two get togethers at the Panera Bread last year for NaNo and I faced it... I'm really really shy... but if anyone wants to meet up at the Panera Bread again I am willing to try.

My laptop is ready, my mind is ready... my shyness isn't. But I do love to go there, grab some soup and a sandwich or some hot chocolate or tea and people watch as I dream up my NaNo novel for November.

Monday nights and Thursday Nights are outs for me... but if someone wants a possible writing session on a Friday night or any time over the weekend, post in here!

Off to the day job now.

Hi there! Good to see you post in here. New lappie? YAY!!! coolness for you!

Yes, it's always good to get out of the house now and again.

I'm planning on having lunch at Panera Bread on Oct. 27th around 2pm (After I do my Saturday morning running around) and just getting my outline somewhat organized for Nov. 1st.

You are more than welcome to come hang out and write/eat/people watch/relax if you want.

Hey guys...first timer here from the Gilbertsville/Boyertown area, but having trouble finding anybody else nearby (except for in Philly). I pretty much have my outline finished but still doing a little research for some of the finer points. It's weird, as the big day approaches I'm getting nervous! Anyway...I'm a shy one too. Keep in touch and good luck!

Hi Tyke!

Welcome to the fun that is NaNo.

There's a group that gathers in and around Norristown if that is closer for you than Airport Square in Montgomeryville. We'd love to have you come to one of the gatherings if we have any... and don't worry about being shy... I think it's a prerequisite for some people (just kidding... LOL).

You're getting nervous? Don't be nervous... just try to write around 5 pages or 1,677 words a day and you'll meet 50,000 words come Nov. 30th.

I've been practicing in another story for the past three weeks and am on pace... it's actually relaxing and takes me away from the stress of the day lately. My muse is loving that I'm active again. I only hope that I don't burn out come the middle of November like I did the first two years.

Off to do Saturday Errands... have a terrific day!

I think our next computer purchase (other than parts) may just be a Mac... hubby's been going crazy with his problematic machine this year. But my lappie is still plugging along quite nicely.

I just set a reminder for myself about the 27th. Work has gotten quite hectic and if it gets any worse, I'm going to have to schedule sleep time at this rate. LOL

I'm sure we could set up weekly November times... I just scheduled two days off mid-November for car inspection/quality catch-upslashwriting time. LOL

Anyway, have a wonderful day... I'm off to do the Saturday ritual of bill paying, shopping, then a nap, laundry, and playing on the computer.

Take care!

If anyone's going to be out and about on Saturday the 27th from about 2:30ish until 4:30ish... I'll be at Panera Bread. Preferably in the little room behind the Soda machine.

I live ten or so minutes from there. Walking minutes, that is. :D How exciting! I'll try to make it there--will there be a NaNo sign, at least?

Well, Wizgeneric and I got together at Panera Bread on the 27th and I don't know about her, but I managed to get a little more outline done there.

I can honestly say that I have the first paragraph ready in my head and it's itching to be put down on paper or onto Word.

What nights are good for people for the month?

We were thinking Friday Nights at Panera Bread?

Anyone else for Friday Nights at PB?

Friday nights might work for me. I did NaNo last year and this year my dear husband is throwing his hat in the ring, so we will have to trade writing nights. We have two kids and I'm pregnant. If I can barter an occassional Friday night, it would be really swell.

I'm in Lansdale, Montgomeryville is very good for me. I'm over at the mall a lot. I love panera bread.

I'm doing the Valley Forge write in tomorrow night, but I'm up for other nights at panera (except monday and tuesday (sorry gotta have my dancing with the stars fix :P)

I won't know until tomorrow night if I will be able to get to Panera Bread... today was crazy at work and I'm just now settling in to write for another hour or two before I go to bed.

If anyone else has any other suggestions for meeting up at Panera Bread for evenings, or weekends, let's hear em!

Any night works for me. I won't be there tomorrow as I am going to the Valley Forge write in (hopefully it depends on how my dentist appointment goes) but I'm free this weekend too if Panera sounds like a plan. (I mean I've got to clean my apartment but I've put that off so much, what's a couple more hours, lol)

Okay everyone, it's Day 2 of NaNo... just checking in to see how everyone's doing.

Have you started yet? If not, what obstacles are keeping you from starting?

Still don't know about tonight, but don't let the fact that no one will be at Panera Bread stop you... write, write, write!

Go by yourself for an hour or two and get some writing done. When I'm there alone, I get lost in the story and before I know it, two uninterrupted hours have passed by. I love when that happens!

First full writing weekend ahead. Good luck everyone!

I posted in the other thread. But should i keep checking this thread for other times we might meet at Panera? (man I could go for some French Onion Soup in a bread bowl right now, lol)

I'm trying a new tack this year: instead of sequestering myself in my study to do my writing, I'm working from my main computer where all the distractions are. :) Yesterday I did about 1700 words in a couple sessions, while having an online meeting and watching online roleplaying going on in the screen under my Word window. It seems the more chances for interruption the better! How weird is that? Maybe it's just that with my online RP buddies I feel less alone ... and a couple of them are NaNo-ing too!

Keep us posted about Panera. In fact, is there anybody who'd be up for Sunday meets there? Daytimes are better for me, She Who Does Not Like To Drive At Night. :) I want to go to the Lehigh Valley meet, but it's at 10:30am on Saturday and with my current schedule, I doubt I'll be able to be up and driving and thinking at that time.

See I told you I wouldn't know until the last minute... so if you want to get away from the house for a few hours and write away... meet me at Panera Bread tonight... trust me, you can't miss me! LOL... I won't be advertising NaNo, but I'll try to be in the room behind the soda/tea machine!!!

Sydney - Sundays, what time? Although this Sunday is no good for me, I'm sure I could slip away on the others.

Hubby seems to be pretty amicable this year to me going down to PB to write so another night (except Monday and Thursday) is good for me.

I'll be at Panera Bread around 7pm tonight if anyone wants to meet up.

If not, it's all good... Have a wonderful night everyone! Happy writing!

Sundays around 1pm or so would be best for me ... my Saturdays tend to be late nights. :)

I am sooo confused and it doesn't take much!!! So you guys are meeting at Panera Bread on Sundays at about 1pm? Does anyone else want to meet some where in the Lansdale area maybe some evenings during the week? I work every stinking weekend!

I can do Sundays at 1 at Panera :-) An excuse for some lunch!

I'm in Lansdale, What about Saxby's coffee there at broad street? I've never been in there but it seems like a good little meeting spot.

I may not be at Panera today. I've got to clean my apartment (I was going to yesterday but I went shopping instead, lol). So if I get a good chunk of cleaning done, my reward is going to Panera and writing a bit.

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it to Panera this week either. :( I have some housework which needs done and I have an appointment with the Dick Blick art store in Allentown. :)

Where is this place in Lansdale of which you speak?

Def. not at Panera Bread today :-( It took me over an hour at the grocery store this early afternoon. So now I'm home cleaning my apt. instead of writing.

Saxby's is a coffee shop on Broad Street at those new shops they built, where Vidalia Italian grocery store, the Pets Plus (where protesters seem to be every weekend), Subway, Party America, etc. Saxby's is closer to the intersection of Broad and Hancock.

I may check it out later today, just to see size and plug-in ability and if they have hot chocolate.

Ahhh, just found this thread. I'm in Lansdale! Saxby's is nice. I'm there all the time for coffee. They have hot chocolate, tea and even hot cider :) I only noticed one outlet, but I was not really looking. They do have a couple public computers there.
