Oooh, procrastination from work. Good experience for when I have to procrastinate from writing.
On the weather:
Am loving the last few rainy days. Hope it will last all week. The Jakarandas will be in full bloom pretty soon, which is always awesome looking (if messy and slippery under tyre).
On the stress:
My favorite game is bringing out a new expansion mid November! They did that last year as well and I wasted many a weekend exploring all the new areas instead of writing as I should. My poor weak soul was not made to withstand temptation like this. Other than that, just the usual work stress, but I’ve had a couple of years of dealing with that, so it shouldn’t give too much trouble.
On current events:

Weather: It's actually quite sunny out here today, but it did rain last night. And of course this being CT there is wind. :)
Stress: Ooh! What game? The only one I'm currently waiting on is SPORE... only due next year. Maybe you could try the carrot method, like for every 500 words you can play for twenty minutes or something, and when you finish or exceed your daily quota you get an extra ten minutes. Lol.
Politics: Maybe someone should video it all and make a killing seeing as reality tv shows are so popular.

Everquest 2. They will be releasing a new playable race (I think) and whole new play areas for high levels as well as raising the level cap to 80. *is excited* No matter that I've only played about 30 hours total this year because of being roped into a lot of other things. I must have it!

Ooooh.
----------Sadly I've yet to play Everquest... along with several others.
I'm terribly ADD with games anyway. Never finish anything. I play endlessly for like a week and then get fed up/bored.
Most I've ever been addicted to a game was Sims and of course *Thief*.
Oh, and Morrowind for a bit. Hmm... maybe I should play it again.

Tell us whats been going on- my life has been insane- just the way I like it.
I've had a crazy year- studying hard, working harder, moving house twice...
but its all good now, and by the time nano starts I should be over my morning sickness. Oh ja..and got pregnant.
hehe... been busy.
But Nano is still my november baby so, I'm in full steam ahead.

Wow.
You totally win the most hecticness-ness.
Wait, does that mean you're going to be NaNoing without caffeine?
Well, since last NaNo I had a psychotic breakdown, spent time in a clinic, got kicked out of clinic, quit school and changed over to correspondence, also got outed at school with all its repercussions, attempted Script Frenzy, decided to start a comic which I'm still trying to figure out a name for, and my brother and his kids have moved back to our suburb... I think that's it.

stress: i live in wilderness. my only stress consists of my lack of social life and my slighly nutty mother. so, nano will be welcome this year!
politics: huh? what's that? ;) actually, being out here, i hardly keep in touch with current news. good and bad in a way i guess...

Weather
Oh, bring back, bring back, bring back my summer to me, to ME!!! I loathe rain and grey weather and all it does these days is rain 6 days out of 7 but hopefully that will pass by November.
Stress
Survived birthday = check.
Mom visiting this coming weekend.
Brabruski some weekend after that.
Work is hell and heaven depending on Boss-T being around.
ML'ing in a new region = interesting.
Big thing since NaNo2006
Nearly got killed by sibling, got job in Durban, moved to Westville end Jan, was lonely as hell. After two break-ins and trips to Mom/CPT and JHB finally moved to Morningside, Durban end July - I love my huge wooden floored flat! Am techincally single but playing some lifestyle options and being the geek I am comfortable being for the 1st time in my life. Oh, and turned 27 ... like ... um ... yesterday.
Right now I have no idea what I am going to write. I am part of two rpg campaigns so may draw on them or may completely else where. No plot? No problem! and no planning here either - I'll post my list of random generators later.
So "teh Dwagin" checking in in Durbs and yes I have "teh yellow shirt of doom" with me *giggle*

We had sun for six days, and then BAM! HAIL!
WTF? Then there was rain and cold... but the sun has returned.
Curse you Cape of Storms!
I lack a social life too.
I hear random stuff on politics... usually I stop listening.

What did you do to your sibling? Or was it just one of those homicidal sibling rages?
My brother used to get those... with knives. But now he had kids I think they're more suicidal.
Wood floors are the shiz niz. (YES. THEY ARE. Shiz Niz. Deal With It.)
You're exactly 10 years older than me! Feel old! Yes. Lol.
Nah, my bro's the same, so you're not really old... yet.
:D
For once I actually have a plot, and I planned. And I finished plotting 3 days ago and I'm going crazy trying to figure out what else to do!

Oh sweet mother of all quick loading pages *kisses the database upgrade that gave us the zippy forums back*
I feel woefully underachieved on the what-has-happened-since-last-nano front. Not much been going on here, just:
- Took part in the first ScriptFrenzy round. Finished my screenplay and gained a hell of a lot of insight into movies and why certain scenes make the cut or not from it. Do not regret it for a moment.
- Attempted to teach myself how to draw. Got lazy and haven't been practicing much.
- Learned to overcome my fear of needles through having to give my mother nightly injections to discourage blood clots after she had her knee surgery. I'm quite good at it now, minimal bruising. *flexes*
- Got a new pair of glasses so now I can actually see the road names.
...
Yeah, that's pretty much it. Same job, same life, etc. Am clinging desperately to the last 2 months before my birthday *weeps for the lost youth* Don't wanna turn 25! zOMG, quarter life crises.

i feel quite old enough as it is, thank you but I am still kicking up a storm!
As for the brother thing - after 18 months living with him and his (now) fiance and things getting worse than I could possibly imagine them ever getting - between him and I, between her and I, between them as well - things just exploded and they got violent because I dared to a) surface from my room into the main section of the house, b) dared to tell them to stop yelling at each other at a volume the neighbours would complain about and c) to stop fighting as they had been fighting non-stop for 3 days. He choked me, she tried to stab me. I left for Cape Town and folks the next week and moved to Durban the first week of Jan. I don't talk to them anymore. I have forgive him but would still like an apology. She is not welcome any where near me yet. They are now engaged and apparently going overseas in March and will get married while living in the UK.
*le sigh*

Second the ouch to these hectic family stories. My family is quite cool - if somewhat strange.
He he, I have to say that as one of them is doing nanowrimo and might read the forums. Anyone else got family coerced, er convinced, to write along? Shame, my mother already complains that she often has no idea what my brother and I are talking about. Now that we have the next month and a bit to be officially nanocrazy she has no hope...

sorry - yes, subsequent to meeting you, i do kind of understand - and i really meant "past high school."
a lot of the weird/stupid sexuality drama goes away then.
i got lucky, i guess. i chose when and how and all that. but, to do that, i basically repressed any hint of sexuality, ever. even when the whiny, bratty kids in my high school hid pictures of ladies in my stuff. i'm much happier now, post school and into my working life. i am just who i am. i hope it works out that way for you too.

My phrasing wasn't exactly clear either.
But I'm nearly there!
Real problem was it was a very rich--closed-minded--urban--english--christian community/environment, and I'm, well, not.
Kinda the opposite really... so it was just an uncomfortable situation to start with. Lots of culture clash... and I mean clash.
I'm normally quite quiet myself, even with my close friends. I'm just a naturally private person, open, but private. With people outside that school it's not a problem though.
----------In my opinion school teaches you virtually nothing that is useful in the real world... especially the bits that they make seem so important... like conforming.
