Who's interested in attending coffee/writing sessions in November?

Last year we met at Serious Coffee on Cliffe, but feel free to suggest an alternate location.

I think Serious Coffee definitely worked fine.

Perhaps more focus on conversation than on individual writing type stuff... not everyone has laptops they can cart around with them.

How about a rule - no laptops, just pen & paper?

That sounds good to me. Now, if only the other CVers would take notice of this topic.

Are people interested in a pre-november meeting?

I'd be very interested in a pre-november meeting - mostly, because I need help brainstorming. The last two years I was in over my head with plot details, but this year I have no earthly idea what to write about. Or rather, I have ideas, but just that; they are only abstract concepts.

Thusly, brainstorming with other NaNoWriMoers - Whrimos (Rhinos?) - would be greatly helpful. Or, we could just drink coffee and be pretentious. Yeah?

I'm down with the 'drinking coffee and being pretentious' bit.

When were you thinking?

Oooh, I need to do some brainstorming too! I'm not really stuck, I just haven't taken the time to sit down and think.

How about Friday the 26th, at 5pm? Same area upstairs as last year.

Does that work for everyone?

I'll probably be there, just a few minutes late, though.

See you then!

Yay!
Anyone else in?

Edit: Kaedtiann, have you talked to your parent/s about coming? Make sure that you get their permission and they know where you are.

My mom (and possibly sister) are coming.

DANG! Missed it.

Let me know when we are trying for a date in November. By any point in the next couple of weeks, I should be crazed with failure over my lack of plot, and will need a coffee meeting to convince me I am not alone.

Cheers.

Greetings to the Comox Valley Crazies!

Still looking for a regional volunteer/Grand Master of Activity for your region. Is anyone interested in organizing a few write-ins, maybe a mini-kick off, should time permit? Just to be the in-person, go-to, since I can't be in all places at once?

That and I can send the GMAs great swag to hand out to the rest of the awesome Wrimos in his/her region.

Sucks that I can't be everywhere at once but I definitely want to help you guys out as much as I can.

Let me know if anyone's interested. If not, no big deal!

Cheers and hugs,
Elenya

I'm willing, but we're low on members this year - looks like just me and 2 others.

PM me?

I'm in again this year but have a crazy busy schedule. I'd love to meet sometime but have to admit that I might not make a meeting, I'd try though!

You guys up for a meetup this weekend?

Whenever & wherever works for you - apparently I'm going to have goodies to give you guys, so make sure you show up! (the more, the merrier.)

Friday @ 5 or
Saturday @ noon or
Saturday @ 5 or
Sunday @ noon
Pick your choose.

If none of these times work, please suggest something else rather than not coming.

I think Saturday works best for me, at either time.

Hey all, hope everyone is having fun. I'm not a big forum person but thought I would say hi to the other Valley Crazies that are participating. I am hoping I can make it out to a meet-up if I have the time, post a time/place and I'll try to stop by.

aacckk - I wrote a post and lost it so here goes again!

Hi FQ and all the rest of you crazies. I'm back this year again but last time I was on the boards weren't working for me. I'd like to meet up with everybody. Saturday's no good for me this weekend because I have to drive down to Nanaimo for my sister's birthday, but Sunday I should be able to make it at whatever time works for the rest of you. Serious coffee again?

Hey, Eifos! I was wondering where you were.

I've PMed the others asking when they are available, and hopefully we'll be able to work something out that fits most people's scheds.

Wow, finally more people are coming!

Saturday's no good for me - I was hoping we'd do it on Sunday. Oh well. Have fun if you do get together today. I'll check back later when I'm home from Nanaimo.
