Sounds like a plan to me. I am unsure of where Altoona is, but I have been hunting for places to meet at anad I thought about the Starbucks on the Square. Is that to far from you? I mention it because it is in a great area to write, they have indoor and outdoor seating and the WiFi is a pay site so no temptations with surfing the internet!
I have some ideas too! I am working on them in my head and waiting for the 1st!

I don't have a clue where the Square is. Is it on 200/college rd.? I get lost in a paper bag LOL. Altoona is that little black speck below the Route 40 and hwy 19 juncture. I'm about 45 min. outside Ocala. What about the main library on 40? I'm sure we could reserve a meeting room to work in. I know the group did last year. They were very gracious. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

I have never been in there but I know where it is. That would be good too. I meant the Square in Downtown Ocala. No worries. If the library is a good spot, and they were good to us last year, then let's meet there. As for time, do you have a preference? I would like to meeting either in the morning or evening. Afternoons are okay, but those are my preferred times.

Hey, all. If you remember me from last year, I'm Jesse, the Ocala ML's daughter. We've had an absolutely crazy year and are working on getting things ready. I don't know how much my mom has all together that's ready for 2007, but don't loose hope. There should be more information soon enough.
Anywho, I have no soddening idea what I'm going to do this year! I might revamp my craptacular story from last year or just pull something from my hat. Either way, I'm really excited. I've been trying to avoid writing too much on the random thoughts that pop into my head so I can tally them to my word count. It's so tempting to plop it down while it's fresh; it's driving me mad. I think our group will be bigger this year -- I've recruited some of my theatre friends and there seem to be more folks on the forums, too.
Wellll, speaking of writing, I have a bunch of essays to write tomorrow, so I should seriously be sleeping right now so I don't mail my English teacher a report on the Declaration of Independence and our Founding Fathers. =p

Hi everyone!
I should have posted this sooner but I was consumed by all of my project deadlines. And yet I add another to the list! Oh well who needs to sleep, eat, or all that other good stuff. lol
We had a really nice Kick off at Starbuck's last Thursday. Everyone was missed! We are planning on meeting there again this coming Thursday. Is there a time that would be better for everyone to make it. Jason has spoken to the manager there and she is thrilled to host us. It's easy to get to and there is plenty of parking.
So let us know what times are best for everyone to get together. That's one of the best parts of NaNo, meeting other people with a passion for words.

Hello my fellow NaNoWriMos,
I'm still alive and plotting. I have broken the chains from the business and parenthood, or at least extended the chains for the month of November. I humbly beg your forgiveness for not posting sooner and keeping in touch with everyone. As Jesse mentioned in an earlier post, life has been beyond crazy. I guess getting hit by a truck does that to you! But, have no fear, I am committed to NaNo, or at least ready for commitment. Yes, you can interpret that last sentence as you see fit.
Next in order, a very sincere “Thank You” to all the members that have posted and for the kind comments, especially to Elise and Jason for initiating and handling the meeting at Starbucks. Kudos to you both and also to everyone else responsible for keeping Ocala NaNo alive and kicking.
I will do my best to be at Starbucks on Thursday. I have to be at another event from 4:30 to about 7-7:30. So, I may be late, but I will be there!
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again and to meeting the new members and putting names to faces.
I will be posting upcoming write-ins and info ASAP!
