OK, well not so sunny today, but we had our moments in the summer.
Anyone else here from these parts?

I'm York born and bred but both my parents come from the Suffolk coast, so I regard myself as being at least as much of a Suffolk lad.
Greetings to Silly Suffolk...

I be a West Country man but I've lived in Suffolk these many a year so I'm a bit Suffolk, even farmed for a while. Still don't reckon you can beat The Wurzels for real music.

I'm from Ipswich, sadly. It's not the most exciting place.

Sunny Suffolk...I'll swear we've had more sun in September than in the whole of the rest of 'summer' this year. That is so depressing!
Heya guys, I'm a lil Suffolk girlie, doing this for the first time, and I'm a little aprehensive. I'm hoping this will help me stick to a target. That's my 1 problem, apart from being my biggest critic - I get bored of a project quite easily. So I'm going to try really hard on this one.
Well, nice to meet you all (well, sort of met I guess...) and I look forward to getting to know you. Bye! *Waves*

I've done this since 2003, and only finished it that first time....
It does help to have that focussed goal and to not worry about getting it perfect first time. Mind you, I still haven't edited that first novel from 2003 either!
I think it works out to roughly 1667 words a day to make 50k by the 30th. If you're a blogger or online community messageboard poster, if you add up your daily postings, you probably make that in a day without breaking a sweat, it's a matter of focussing the flow onto something else.
That's what I tell myself, anyway...

I'm from Suffolk too (hello everybody *waves*) or as I call it the home of the awful bus service. Still that same awful bus service ought to serve me well as I'll have plenty of time to write each day when I'm between places.

Father from Norfolk, Mother from Suffolk, me born in East Suffolk, now living on the Heritage Coast.
I tried this last year and gave up at 30,000 words. I'm determined to see it through this year.
Good luck everyone!

I'm in Suffolk, too - in Suffolk Coastal, which recently won the accolade of coming 17th in somebody's list of best places to live in the UK. 17th? Is that good or bad?
Have tried and failed to complete NaNoWriMo three times before (actually, last year, I'm not sure I even managed to start, although I definitely intended taking part and went through the motions of signing up and introducing myself to the Suffolk forum-thread).
Fourth time lucky! Now all I need is some free time, some motivation, some characters and a plot of some description...

Yeah I'm from Lowestoft on the coast in North Suffolk. As North in suffolk as you can get without actually being Norfolk. Oh yes, here in Lowestoft the party never ends.

Hey there!
It's my first try at NaNoWriMo, so I just thought I'd introduce myself to the Suffolk Boards! I was born in Ipswich, and I've lived there all my life, lucky me! I go to Ipswich School, which won't leave me much time for writing but hey, as was said, the bus-time should make up for that.

I am originally from Lowestoft and now live near Ipswich, so as suffolk as can be.
Third year of nano, finished first time, last year was a dismal faliure but I am determined to complete this year.
Good luck to all you Suffolk folks.

Hi there Sunny Suffolk. There seems to be a lot of us out there. Hope we all make it - well I am an optimist - I think!
Whether I'll still be one when this month of November is over, we will just have to see. Good luck folks.

Suffolk born and bred, missing the ol' accent though.
First time doing this, and I can't recall ever writing past 5000 words, so let's see how I fare.
Good luck to you lot!

Good to see so many of us out there this year.
I hope we can kick some 'a' double 's' in the regional wordcounts.
Good luck everyone, see you on the other side of 50k (we all hope!).

Six days in. How's it all going? I'm doing OK at the moment, and have already surpassed my best previous attempt - although that was nothing to write home about, at only 10,500-ish words!
I hope the words are flowing fast for all of you, and in the right order :-)

Just thought I would say hi. I am from Suffolk also, from Ipswich, born and bred. Not much sun to be seen though, I'm currently looking out of the window of our office pondering how I am going to get home. Rain is lashing up against the panes and I failed to pack an umberlla this morning. :o
This is my first year wrimoing, and its a bit mixed. I love some parts of my story, whereas other parts bore me. Also, although I'm keeping the pace (yay), I only found out about this and started Monday evening. Furthermore I'm away this weekend as of Friday evening, so I loose another three days. So, I have to admit that the word count hill is starting to worry me. Also I'm finding it hard being stern with my inner-editor and telling him to wait his turn (he's so cute and... oh, OK, he's not).
That said, however, I started out with a story idea I have had for a little while and already once started and failed (quite quickly, it's all new content I have written). I am determined to finish this though, if only to say I have done it. Besides, I fortuitously booked some holiday in advance this month, so I might be able to steal a few days back later then. :]
Happy writting all. ^_^
