Anyone from the Berkshires who wants to get together and write, I'm planning to open up the Inkberry office on Thursdays in November from 10AM-4PM. The office is located at 61 Main Street, Suite 223, North Adams, MA.
The space can accomodate a decent-sized crowd comfortably...about 10-12 writers, depending on your flexibility about needing desk space of couch space.
I've never done NaNo before, so I'm excited to meet you more experienced fast writers.

Maybe once we get going, we'll add other times. I know the office is available on weekends, I just haven't committed to being there to open up yet. Another Inkberry member is also doing NaNo, so maybe we can take turns opening the office. I'll update at this site when I know more.
Meanwhile, good luck with your writing. I'm amazed that you can keep up with school and still do this project. You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din. (Definitely showing my age with that quote.)

I, too, would love to do that, but am in high school. I'm in until 2:30, so if there was more time after that...
----------Still, I can't promise anything. I can't drive, and I don't really see my mom being cool with me hanging out and writing all afternoon with a bunch of strangers. Still, here's hoping.

It would be nice, but chalk me up as another person who just can't make it at that time -- full-time job. Actually, one full-time and one part-time, I have to work most weekends starting the first weekend in November. That's a great location for me, though -- I'm in Charlemont, and Pittsfield is a haul for me, but North Adams is just a hop-skip over the hills. Maybe we could find another venue in North Adams that would be open evenings? Is there anyone else for whom North Adams would be a good location to meet up, and who would do better with evenings than days?

I'll look into times when we might be able to use the Inkberry office in the evening. I suspect Wednesdays might work. The other nights often have classes and critique groups meeting in the evening. I also don't know yet which evenings I can commit to being there.

Hey, berkshire folks, it looks like Inkberry will be open on Thursday evening, November 1, 7PM-9PM for a kick-off party. There's a regular Thursday night critique group that meets then, but the group is planning to freewrite along with any NaNos who show up. The leader of the group is definitely a NaNo newbie, as am I.
There's no official organizer and nothing open near the office, except the Dunkin Donuts on Rt. 2 in North Adams, but maybe if you want to come, we could all bring some dessert or CHOCOLATE. It seems that's a required food group during November.
I'll plan on getting some soft drinks...we don't have a coffeee maker so that beverage is strictly BYOC.

Is the offer still on for Thursdays? Sorry I missed the kick-off, went to Spice, as was closer to Pittsfield. But I'd love to come and write Thursday afternoons, if that's happening!
