As the ML from United States: Washington: Lewis County, with 18 registered members, on behalf of all Lewis County Wrimos, would dearly love to challenge you, The Bahamas, to a word war. We realize that you have 21 registered members, and the two of you who have posted probably have a combined word count that is greater than all of our 18 registered members, yet we feel that, under this sort of pressure, we, the members of United States: Washington: Lewis County, could rise to the challenge and beat you.
Well, would you like to?
Sincerely,
elizabethm, ML for United States: Washington: Lewis County
I'm from the Bahamas but I'm currently living in LA right now so I've got both as my regions.
Anyway, hello fellow Bahamian NaNoWriMo-ers!
I was there when Noel hit but I'm back in the U.S. Will be here the whole month of November so I won't get to join you for the NNWM after-party.
I'm going to take on Lewis County anyhow. Between the three of us, even if we're not consciously participating in a word war, we're racking up some good numbers.
And maybe if we publicize it some to the other 18 of us, we might get somewhere.
I was wanting to write from six this morning and perhaps get most of the days words out and down by nine. So much for that great plan. The thing is, I am supposed to go to some big music ta do tonight at eight. I need to get these words produced. Hmmm, is there a word factory anywhere? A word wholesaler might be good enough. I don't want to mess with a word retailer though. Buying your words at retail can get very expensive, very fast.
Perhaps I need to work on a time factory as well as a word factory...
Whoa- haven't checked this in a while! Yes, I'm in for the word war although I guess it's rather late to say that.
Anyhoo, I'm currently in trouble- haven't been able to write for a week so I've got some catching up to do!
Eek! 4 more days and a mere 38k...
On behalf of United States :: Washington :: Lewis County, I would like to thank you for joining us in a regional word war. You were gracious opponents and you have a formidable word count. It was great fun for us, from our obscure little corner of the world, to engage in war with such a lovely place as the Bahamas.
Thank you, Bahamas, for adding joy to NaNo! Happy writing!
Liz, ML for Lewis County
And thank you -- we didn't beat you in total words, but in the process, we have come in tops in average words -- The Bahamas wrote an average of 53k words per person.

Ping!
Better late than never.
The storm kindly gave me some time to write!
Lata -- got to crack 10k today (Nov. 4) so I can fall behind this week, if I must.

Hey Madi,
war? The way things are going this year, I would go running away like a pot cake with my tail between my legs.
This is hurting this year. And I had such false hight hopes...
I see your word count is doing well at least, how is the novel itself doing in your estimation.
My word count is fine for 50,000 but the novel is the pits right now...
Still, if they want to fight, I am gonna keep writing no matter what. Have you run into any other island (Bahama) folks writing this year?
I am afraid that I fell down on my planned promotion duties this year as well...

Tienci, welcome & good luck!
Zotz, I'm not too unhappy with my novel, and my wordcount is better than it's ever been.
Course, it's one week in, so who's to say what'll happen later?

If we can scrounge up some more island writers, it would help.
Hey, post on any island boards you know of where writers hang out and try to scrounge up some late entrants.

Good work, Z, with the wordcount.
I'm hoping to break 35 k tonight. If I could hit 40 k by Monday it would be great, but I'm not holding my breath.
Still, we shall see. You have a better shot than I do!
Cheers.

Congrats on cracking 50,000!
That's my goal for this weekend. Next week is HELL and I will still have 10,000 to go if I make it to the green bar, so ...
wish me luck.
TucanRed, Tienci, Salemwrimo, Kisa101, and others: good stuff, y'all!

Z, I'm not worried. We're back in second place as far as average words written are concerned, and I'm pushing for first. That'll be my victory.
