We always tend to be a pretty spread-out NaNo group, with writers living all the way up and down the metro area from Forsyth to Henry county ... and everywhere left, right, and in between. I'm sure this year will be no different.

Let us know where you are! This'll be useful for planning get-togethers and write-in, as well as for finding out if you have any crazed NaNo-ing neighbors.

Me, I'm in Buckhead / Garden Hills, just a few blocks down from the gigantic Pit O' Dirt that used to be Buckhead Village.

Within the next two weeks, I will be living in the Norcross area. The nice half, not the ghetto part. I'm not sure how to better describe it yet since I don't know the area. :P

I am in Atlanta city proper, in the Candler Park neighborhood, which is 3 miles south of the Emory/CDC campuses. Most people don't know the neighborhood unless I say that it's the neighborhood on the Decator side of Little 5 Points or that it's the neighborhood that features the original Flying Biscuit Cafe and Bakery.

Hello,

Dang, I wish I had made up a catchy name. I'm in College Park that great small town next to the busiest airport in the world and the and the noisiest train crossing anywhere.

--

I'm a filmmaker and soon to be novelist! I'm going to document the NaNoWriMo in Atlanta [and beyond?]...on videotape. That's write/right, I'm making a documentary and I'd like you to participate. If you haven't had your [1st] fifteen minutes of fame yet I can help. I'm also going to crank out 1667 words per day, OMG.

I need writers willing to be on camera as interviewees, as participants in group write-ins and as willing subjects I can follow around for a few hours as you go through your daily routines. I'll ask question about writing, question your sanity and just sit back cinéma vérité style and watch you create.

This is a completely self-financed documentary. That means no compensation. There won't be a crew of dozens invading you home or café, just me with a decent camera and microphone. I will need people willing to sign a release so that I can get hog sloppy rich by using you likeness and your future celebrity. So it goes.

Sincerely,
jj

Duluth. But I've lived here my whole life so I don't mind traveling around to write with people. Despite the traffic, I really do enjoy driving in Atlanta, if nothing else it gives me time to myself to think. (a.k.a. discover a new plot point.)

I'm up for whatever we decide!

I'm technically in Duluth, but it could also be John's Creek. I'm right on the 'hooch, Fulton/Gwinnett line on the Fulton side.

This is my first time, so please be gentle!

I'm planning on going to some of the meetings once we settle on a time and place. I'd love to help you out on the documentary. I know my way around Final Cut Pro very well since it's what I do for a living and I've been in production for too many years.

Btw, I'm north of Atlanta but I'd be willing to meet wherever :)

I live in Marietta -- Just off Hwy 41 in the Delk Rd-Powers Ferry area. The bookstores on Cobb Pkwy are very convenient to my home.

At the rate the forums here are moving, we will never get anything coordinated. To that end, and because someone suggested it earlier, I went ahead and created a yahoogroup. Hopefully, even with all of us there, it won't take 15 to 30 minutes to open a page and start making plans to do write-ins and such. So click the link below and join the group.

Looks like they've killed everything except the regional boards. At least we can post now-ish.

I live in Grant Park, in an old house, with my artist husband. I love to drive these streets, and am looking forward to spending a month wearing out the keyboard (which already sticks).

Another Kennesaw entry here. Right up close to the mall, and I saw one other in my quick glance of the thread that is awfully close.

First time for me, so really looking forward to seeing how far I actually get. I have decided I am not going to work on killing myself to complete anything. However, if something falls out accidentally and it ends up finished at the end of November - well, I'll take it.

Edgewood, meaning the wrong side of the Candler Park tracks. Around a corner or two, and under the train, from the Flying Buscuit.

This is my first-ever nanowrimo, so we'll see how it goes....
