make that three! This is my second year and I even managed to finish it last year! I blame it all on my daughter who introduced me to the idea. It is fun though

And THEN there were FIVE. Well actually six, since my mum is also planning her 50,000 word masterpiece this year, she's just not very internet savvy.

We're in Parkstone, Poole.

BeeJay and KellyMonster, I'm sure I recognise your usernames from last year...

Anyway, where would people like to meet this time? Last year we met at starbucks in Borders only for some reason that didn't get people talking very well. Also would people want to meet befor [sat 27th oct] or after [3rd nov] the start?

I think a pre-NaNo meet would be nicer as we would be able to give and get some motivation from others in the run up, but I am easy either way. Maybe meeting in the initial throws of November panic would be equally as nice!

Starbucks doesn't serve good enough coffee to get people talking! :o)

I wasn't around last year but maybe I have stolen somebody else's username...

I'm from Dorset.
Wool, to be exact..

I took part last year, had a third done half way through the month, meaning I'd have to do double the work in the last half of the month... So, yeah. I failed.

I came to the meeting in Bournemouth. I wouldn't mind doing that again. But, I'd prefer to do it before the thing starts... Makes more sense that way, to me.

Unfortunatly I think I'm going to be moving on the 27/28th, so if people really want to meet before it'll have to be on the half-week 29/30/31. Personally I'd prefer the weekend of 3/4. Is starbucks good for everyone again? I'm sure the staff won't mind too much if we re-arrange the furniture to better suit us ;)

Count me in for the Bournemouth meeting! I'd personally prefer it to be before the actual start, the 30th or 31st would be best for me.
In which Starbucks does the meeting take place?

The one in Borders. We can change if people don't like or can suggest someplace better. Looking at my horrible schedule TBH 30/31 would be best for me too.

I assume that we're talking about the 30th of October, though...

I live just outside of Wareham :) I'm sad that I saw this too late for last night's meet up, but I wouldn't've been able to get to Bournemouth in the evening anyway, bit too far for me...I don't drive and I live in the middle of nowhere!
I'm looking forward to starting tomorrow!

oh, is anyone interested in a mid- or end of nano meetup?

This is my first year, so somebody must have had a similar username last year. How do people find time to meet up while trying to deal with the word count? Maybe when it's over!

I'm from Parkstone, Poole also- small world! Ditto on the mid/end-meet-up, it'd be nice to turn this solo-habit into one that's a bit more social!

Good to see a couple more people in Dorset! I finally have internet at my new place and can update my word count. Yay!

How's everyone doing? I think I got the week two blues late this year. Anyone else struggling?

Must not waste words:
Starbucks, Bornemouth Borders, Friday 30th @ 1900h. Be there, or, uh, don't be there... Also, it'd be nice to know if I'm going to be the only one turning up, so post if you can come [or if you have a better venue idea].
