I have been hearing about these bibles, but I have no idea where to begin to start one. I think it will help me keep track of everything that is happening in my world. Does anyone have any advice on where to start and how to keep it organized?

Hmmm, Story/Character/World Bibles for novelling? I can't say that I've ever come across any hints or directions for writing any - aside from those for screenwriting and film making, which I've seen plenty of. (Granted, they end up amounting to the same thing anyway.)

You could try downloading software such as yWriter to help keep track of those files for you. It organizes scenes, characters, chapters, etc. I haven't had the chance to play around with it much, but I've heard others say it's very helpful.

A story bible is whatever you want to make it. The only purpose of it is to keep all the background of your world or character, and you should organise it in whatever way makes the most sense to you. As you write the story itself, you'll keep adding to the bible every time you "discover" still more information about the world.
My NaNo project this year is essentially a story bible for a fantasy world. I intend to have separate sections on the world's physical geography, history and political geography, cultures, and religion/mythology. Probably when I get going I'll have to set up subdivisions, such as history and mythology as understood in different places. There will probably also be other topics that I haven't thought of yet! I don't intend to do any background on actual story characters.

I have never heard of a World Bible before...but, I think it may be a great referance for my characters in the story! and, the yWriter looks like something I can really use. I just D/L last night a different source kind of like yWrite but, this looks more user friendly.
