Howdy and welcome to the Site Feedback forum.

This forum is for discussion about what's good and what's bad with the site, and for suggesting improvements for this and future seasons.

We rely on you to tell us what you want so that we can keep NaNoWriMo awesome.

THIS FORUM IS NOT FOR BUG REPORTS. That's tech help, next door. Please don't tell us what's broken here - our purpose is more lofty.

Here's a list of features and enhancements that are on the schedule for this year's site:

• The return of the personalized forum index
• The return of home regions
• The return of the quote feature in forums
• The return of drop down menus
• New and Improved word count widgets
• Cut-and-paste word count validation
• Sorting of search results
• And as many other forums tweaks as we can make, such as:
  • Quick reply
  • Quick jump forum navigation
  • Anything else you convince us is a good (and doable) idea

Many items we had last year are currently missing because we've ported NaNoWriMo to a new content management system. The main reason for the move was that our old system was becoming obsolete and was not very actively maintained, making it hard to update the site and add new features, and increasing the danger of security issues. However, change is painful and it will take awhile before everything works as well as (if not the same as) before.
