Disclaimer: *coughs* If anyone is offended, my advance apologies. But the song has such lovely beat that I could not resist. The following is a shameless parody on Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA. As with the other parodies posted, feel free to pass around but please give credit. If you have any other song suggestions, please let me know. I enjoy the chance to sharpen my skills.

Dedication: To all those who are staring at the NaNoWriMo and are thinking about joining/rejoining. Join the dark side, we have cookies.
To the staff who first came up with this wonderful event. My muse and I both sincerely thank you.

Come Join NaNo Today

If tomorrow all the words were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just blank paper and my pen.

I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be writing here today.
‘Cause NaNo still stands for progress,
and that can’t be taken away.

And I’m proud to be a writer,
from internal critics I am free.
And I won’t forget those who work,
to give this chance to me.
And I gladly sit up,
until 50,000 word count is reach.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt you can do it,
Come join NaNo today.

From the rivers of Canada,
to the caves of Australia.
Across the fields of China,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit over to Paris,
and London to L.A.
Well there's pride in every NaNoer’s heart,
and its time we sit and write. (WAIT, WE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE WRITING AND NOT READING THE FORUMS?!)

And I’m proud to be a writer,
from internal critics I am free.
And I wont forget those who work,
to give this chance to me.

And I gladly sit up,
until 50,000 word count is reach.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt you can do it,
Come join NaNo today.

Some parts were a bit tough to scan (especially when compared to the original), but good work.

Haha. I wasn't offended, and I like the original song. I found it funny. A bit off at times, but still funny.

I have no idea where my story is going. No idea what I just wrote. No clue where I am now. Sounds like an awesome nano to me! :D

lol. Pretty funny. Hope you don't mind, but I did make a few changes so that it reads a bit smoother.
