Do we have any people from Berkshire here? :D

If not I'm feeling quite lonely right now. :s

As a matter of fact, we do. I know another person from Berkshire doing it, too.

I see you're from Reading, that's pretty close. I'm in Wokingham.

Technically its both Reading and Wokingham lol. Postal address is Reading. MP is Reading. But as far as council tax, schools etc are concerned we're Wokingham.

Sorry if this appears twice - I sent a reply a few hours ago but it hasn't appeared yet,,,

I'm in Sandhurst, in Berkshire despite a Guildford (Surrey) postcode(!) within a mile or so of the Hampshire and Surrey borders.

It's my first time trying NaNoWriMo - I've contemplated it for the last few years. but suddenly this time I signed up...

Good luck to everyone!

Hey! Another person from Reading here,

I did Nano the last two years, although last year was something of a washout with me going away part way through for over a week. Kinda didn't help - don't know why lol.

The first year I did succeed though. Unforutnately I can't seem to get hold of the password I asked for when I forgot my old one on my orginal account, so hence the new account, which sucks rather, I didn't want to lose my history :(.

I'm really busy at work at the moment, but am determined to give it a real go this time so roll on November.

Hi there I'm from Reading as well! Wow I didn't realise that there would be people in my own area. Do any of you belong to Reading Writers? RNA Reading Chapter?

I live right on the border between Oxfordshire and Berkshire, just into Oxfordshire. Pretty equidistant between Oxford and Reading. I've joined the Oxfordshire section because I'd rather not stay in "Elsewhere" and I was born in Oxford, but I'd love to meet people in Reading as well since that's where I went to school and now where I work! :)

Wow, Reading is popular. I come from there! I have a quick question for...anyone, I suppose. If I know the username of someone I want to be buddies with, how do I find their profile and add them as a buddy?

At the moment, the Author search is down, while Russ works on improving the site speed. It's normally one of the tabs on the grey bar, after Home and About. You would search for user name, then click their name, and click the "add to buddies" list. Note though that only about 11-12 show in the "My Buddies" page of your profile.

Until Author search comes back, you'll have to wait til you see a post of theirs, and click their name to see their profile.

Near Reading, if you hadn't heard of Bracknell for some reason.

I've been failing at NaNoWriMo in various parts of Berkshire for the past few years (though I did win the first year I tried...) I failed in Sandhurst, I failed in Reading - this year I'm trying in Blackwater, and thoroughly intend to win.

Been watching NaNoWriMo for several years and have just plucked up the courage to give it a go.

I'm Jen - an American expat in Maidenhead.

Hi everyone - I'm just outside of Reading too. I signed up last year, but never really got started. Hoping to give it a go this time...I know I probably haven't got a hope in hell of meeting the daily quota, but maybe if I do extra on the days I can write, I'll make it :)

Evenin' all.
Like Helzebel, I live on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire borders, but on the Berkshire side. Second NaNo, hopefully second victory. I started last year, pretty much on a whim. Good to see so many of you here!
