chthonicgoof and I are starting Write-Ins in Sunset Hills. Sunset hills is at 44 and 270, so close for those coming in from Jefferson County, or any of the southwest or south suburbs. We'll meet at Borders in Sunset Hills Plaza on Watson Road, just east of 44. The same plaza has a big Home Depot, amongst other things. We will meet in the cafe, come join us anywhere between 3:30 and 8 p.m.
She will be there before me, and I will be there later, and hopefully at least one of us will be there until we wrap up. The only week I won't be there is the first one, I'll be in Colorado on business.
She will be wearing her Nano tshirt, I'll be making up a little table sign as well, so we all can connect. If you need further information or directions, please feel free to post here, or drop either of us a private email.
We're about three weeks away...I'm getting all excited!!

Right-o! Send me a nanomail or scoot over to the author profile and give me a nudge through my creative blog (the profile is linked and an e-mail addy is in there!).
Last year we met at Borders because they have LOADS of tables and chairs and it's super- easy to find.
If you know highway 44, Watson Rd., or Lindbergh (aka Kirkwood Rd.), you can find us easily.
The plaza is listed #1 here: http://tinyurl.com/37zocy As Susabelle said (and she's GREAT, we met because of Nano last year!), there's a Home Depot, IHOP, Dobbs, and a plethora of other businesses there. Borders shares a building with Petsmart and Old Navy (for easy landmark-navigation).
We're getting together on the 1st to hammer down a good start! See you there : )

Oh, I hope I can come out and write with you guys - I actually met Susabelle this summer, though with all the other people at the picnic she probably won't remember me ;b
Unfortunately, I would be on the later side of things - the earliest I would be able to get there on Wednesdays (or any weekday) would be 7:00 PM. I have to wait for my husband to get home from work so he's here with the girls and so I can use the car.
There's one other person I'll try to connect with from last year - she lives in Arnold and we met a few times at the Clayton write-ins on Sundays. Maybe it will be easier for her to go to Sunset Hills instead of Clayton.
Only 21 days to go and I still don't know what I'm going to write.

Someone wrote me and asked what day we were having the Sunset Hills write-ins. I read my original message and I apparently left it out!!
We'll be doing write-ins on WEDNESDAYS from 3:30 to about 8 p.m. at the Borders in Sunset Hills Plaza (very near Watson/270/44 interchange).

Ooh, "my" Borders. I'll be there, laptop in hand and looking lost, after I get off work (and possibly grab food).
I'm somewhere between excited and convinced I'm absolutely crazy.

I'm getting excited. I can work with this day and time. I'll be one of the later attendees as well. Probably 6:30 before I can get there.

*sigh* why do they always have to be on weekdays? :-( Junior year insures too much homework.
This sounds like the best thing yet, though. I'll probably be a later comer too, depending on when I can get a ride there (I have no car >_>) but I'll show up for sure! And hopefully make some new friends and not be so lonely, right? And besides, it's a borders, you can always make friends with the books...
I'm assuming it does, but just to be sure, does borders have WiFi?
OK also to clarify, so it will be every Wednesday of Nov?

Of course, this is when I hear of it, but I hope to be there next week. Sounds good.

Fooey, missed this and didn't answer. Borders has WiFi but it's the expensive T-MObile kind. We will meet every Wednesday in November.
There are Sunday write-ins too, those are the "official" ones.

Do I need a badge or a hall pass? Or just an odd ability to take in caffeine and the unmistable addiction to chocolate?

It was fine. chthonicgoof and I were the only ones there, so we got a lot of writing time, and a lot of bonding time as well. I think we were both over 12K by the time we left, so that's exciting. And I got this HUMONGOUS rice krispie treat that was quite an adventure to eat :D ah...the NaNo memories... I already can't wait for next week's!!

Coolness!! I'll be there next week, and hopefully my friend Jillian will join us too. She can be kinda shy and would rather I be there (someone she knows). LOL Sounds like you're coming along fine! I'm at 28K this morning.

Hi ya.
Made it through the 30 mark. Trying to stay focused. I am getting to the juicy part of the story, where characters start showing their stripes.
Keep going, my sistahs. I know you can do it.

Got there late, but got a lot of writing done. Didn't get anyone's name though, so I'll just have to say "Hi, everyone" :)

I got a ton of writing done. I'm SO proud of myself. I'm still about 6,000 words behind, but whatever. I'm catching up, one skin peeling, blind in one eye (or the other) scene at a time :D

Were you the one with the "baby belly?" I was in the black polo shirt sitting near the window trying to give everyone animal crackers. Sorry I didn't get your name!!
It was a good turnout last night, and everyone was just writing away, it was great!

I wish it had been the little ones in ugg boots, but it was their yuppy/muppy mommies that were wearing the uggs. The babies were all wearing oshkosh. LOL

I didn't get anyone's name either, so "Hi!" back. (Does this make me a hollaback girl?)
I'm the one with the miniscule word count. Almost 1900 baby! I'm thrilled by this so don't feel bad for me.

Hi everybody! I was the ipod-less person across from Daqu and Sarahlynn, and next to Susubelle and ? (didn't get the name of the person on my left). I thought it was the babies in the Ugg boots, too. The mommies-- no, not a good look.
I'm at 19, 187 words now. Maybe if I keep wasting my time looking at the forums, it will somehow magically increase to 20,000. . . No? Okay, back to work. See you all on Wednesday.

Bumping...
Our final write-in for 2007 will happen on Wednesday, November 28, from 3:30 to 8 p.m. We will talk about maybe getting together after November 30 to celebrate/wind down. I'd also love to still have a "write-in" of sorts once or twice a month, to keep us writing even after Nov. 30.
Hope to see you there!!
