Hi everyone, I'm Kara one of the Municipal Liaisons from Memphis. I'm not sure if you have your own ML; I don't think the new site has a list like old one did. Anywho, even if you do have an ML, I would like to invite you all to affiliate also with Memphis (you can affiliate with multiple regions). I also hope you might consider joining us for a write-in or two during November. And, we're planning an awesome Kick-Off party, all ages welcome! I've affiliated myself with your region, so I'll stop by every so often to say hi.
Happy Writing!

Heya Kara!
I'm a Tiger High alumnus in Nashville who is classifying herself as a Tennessee generalist or something like that. This is the first time I've really delved into the forum area. Usually I get very interested in NaNo, then I get more engrossed with the actual writing than the NaNo project and so keeping up with my profile, word count, etc. tends to fall away. This year I'm going to try to stick to the objectives as they apply to NaNo a bit more.
At this point, I'll let my geek flag fly and admit that I've found a NaNo group at Second Life. I've never really delved too deeply into SL other than to track down the Dwight Shrute stuff and visit the UC Davis Psych sim. A virtual write-in might be interesting!

I've heard from other MLs who say they do virtual write-ins, kick-offs and TGIOs. We had a midnight chat hosted by my Co-ML this year, which went over well. I thinking it's something that we might try next year, and of course it would be open to you guys in Tennessee Elsewhere!
