Hi!
For anyone in the area, we usually meet on Saturdays, from 10:30 to... whenever at the Borders at the Colordao Mills, in the cafe.
We also meet before then (we're going to meet this Saturday, the 13th, I think), and we hope to see people there!
There are outlets, and some people bring extension cords, so bring your laptops (and children, if necessary), and we hope to see you there!
Just Jill

OMG!!! I'm so excited! I will be there with my notebook and pen... or my Alphasmart...
Is there something I should look for so I don't bust in on the wrong group of people? This is my first year participating in the write-ins and meetings.

We are usually against the wall by the cafe, and I will have an alphasmart too - and possibly a baby in a car seat. I don't know how many of us there will be this Saturday.
Hope to see you there!

I am so sorry. Things went over this morning - I wasn't there until 11:00.
I promise, it gets better in November!

I will be there with Snurt, the Unofficial NaNoWriMo Mascot. You can't miss him---he's bright yellow with big blue eyes, big ears, and funky suction-cup feet. Other than that, he's too weird to describe.
WHEN Snurt and I will be there is another matter....though definitely the first week of NaNo. :)
(I say "when" because Snurt and I may or may not be there prior to Nov. 1.)

I didn't make it... I had to clean. I will probably show up the first week of NaNo - that would be November 3rd. Who else will be there? I'll bring my Alphasmart. Now that I know I'm not the only one who has one of those, I don't feel too silly bringing it! LOL. Mine is one of the first ones though, the Alphasmart 300. I wish I had waited and gotten the new one, but oh well! This one suits me just fine until I can afford a laptop!

Well, I'm going to TRY to be there this coming Saturday, 10/20. The Most Haunted Live goes on until 2 a.m. Friday night, so if I make it to Borders I'll be the one with about sixteen large lattes, half of them empty, freshly drunk. (The lattes, not me.)

Look for a funny yellow thing (it's called Snurt) - if he's not there, we're the insane group by the doors.

Snurt will be there! He's decided to bring me along, too...what a treat; I'll actually attempt some writing. (We're off to a rather limping start, or at least I am. Maybe Snurt is faring better....)
Jill, though you probably won't see this before the meetup:
(1) Did you find out about swag?
(2) Did you find one of those printout thingys we can tape to the wall or table warning people that crazed Nanoers are furiously at work?
They're supposed to be getting some widgets and countdown thingys and what not here on the site, so they may have all that stuff together. I'm off to go look......
See you guys there!

Hey all,
I was wrong about the title of the group on yahoo! - it can be found at this link
We'll be glad to have you - please, if you do sign up, add somewhere in there who you are on the Nano boards, at least at first? That way we won't all be utterly confused.
Thanks!

Woo-hoo, look at Jill's start-over wordcount! :) Zippin' along.....
Hey guys, just wanted to let everybody know I've finally uploaded a picture on my author page----of Snurt!
I figured he was a lot cuter than I am, and since he's the Official Unofficial Golden/West Lakewood NaNoWriMo Mascot he should have his name up in lights, or at least his very odd face up on my NaNo author page.
So stop by and say hello! :)
See you guys tomorrow,

Wow...a bunch of new people finding their way to our little thread! Go us!!! ^_^
As for this weekend, I will be there, power strip and my now juiced-up Luna-P (my laptop, for those new to our happy little collective) in hand!
Can't wait to see everyone--old friends and new people alike--there!

Yes, everything is fine. I just had a repeat experience of what happened LAST weekend, except this time I was actually doing something a little more constructive with my time. However, since I said that I was going to be at the meeting, I knew I couldn't afford to NOT show up for today's session.
So, with that in mind, I showed up nearly two hours late...but at least I got to meet two of our newest additions to our happy little collective! ^.^
Now, nearly twelve hours after my late entrance to said meeting, I am AGAIN trapped in another coffee chain in Central Denver (hello...any Central Denver NaNo-folk want to keep me company tonight? ^.^;) trying to strangle some more life out of this newest effort...so provided I don't tweak out from a caffiene overdose, I'll show up again next week.
Here's hoping that Week Two is a successful one! ^_^

Just a tweaky heads-up:
I'm still planning to be at Borders this Saturday -- yes, you read right -- the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Since the mall will no doubt be more of an insane asylum than usual, I plan on arriving at the crack of 10 (unless they throw everyone a curveball and open earlier).
Okay, so I've typed nearly 9000 words today and my hands and arms are screaming at me to S-T-O-P . . . hope to see you guys there.
Wheeeee!
