Dagaz and Zhe have yet to put their oars in but the three of us have spoken in RL and plan to meet on Sundays in November at The Atlanta Bread Company. We scheduled ourselves at 2-4 pm last year, mainly because our meeting place closed at 4 (and my hubby needed a time limit to my insanity). The revised location could mean revised times if there are other takers.

You've kind of spoken for me, but I'm totally in (presuming homework does not tie me to my chair until it's finished every weekend).

Anyone else? *Hopeful*

I live in Green Bay as well, along with the Soulkeeper and our as yet unnamed friend who's also doing NaNo, but I'm not sure if our parents will let us meet up with anyone. (We did come up with the idea to just *happen* to want to go to Atlanta Bread Company on Sunday at two and "talk to random people" but didn't think our parents would buy it.)

So we'll keep you posted.

Hello, I'm the idiot that has 4 continuous posts on the previous thread, due to forum problems.

Lurking and I know each other personally, and we're desperately hoping we'll be able to make a few meetings. Please keep us posted on any updates with the location and/or time, and we'll let you know when we get a definitive answer of whether we can be there.

Thanks,

The SoulKeeper

I'm not the unamed friend but I'm another friend of Lurking's (and Soul Keepers). But my parents (and I) have no clue where that is, and they'll never let me meet someone from the net. Sorry . . .

Sundays aren't so great for me, but if we do choose Sunday maybe a 1-3 would be better? I work at 4 o'clock every Sunday, so I'd be able to around for an hour before having to leave if we went with last years time. Of course, I could always switch around my schedule for the month of November and get Sundays off entirely and work a different day. I am very flexible when I really think about it.

Keep us posted.

PS - I lack a driver's license at present, so if I haven't gotten around to getting it by then this will completely depend on my room mate's willingness to cart me around, so don't try to go too far out of the way to set a specific time for my sake.

Me and some friends should be able to come, too. There'd probably be about six of us, and any time should work.

I can't get there at 1 but maybe by 1:30. If that's when you can get there, Bjerke, you can grab the best seat! :D Arriving early probably means that I'll leave early too so I hope no one drops in at 3:45 and wonders where "everyone" is. I've been out of the country and haven't talked to Dagaz about her plans for Sunday. Maybe she will stick with the 2-4 timeslot (or even a bit later if there are people still hanging around).

Please don't try to outsmart your parents on this. If they are very uncomfortable with the write-in, don't come. Better yet, bring them along. They can stay or just check us out to be sure we're not ax-murderers before letting you stay. If it makes a difference in getting permission, send me a PM and I'll provide some personal info they can check out.

For anyone not familiar with Atlanta Bread Company, it is located on Mason Street between Military and Oneida. I can't remember the name of the side street (Fisk?) that goes into the parking lot. It's closer to the Taco Bell in the Office Depot/Sears shopping plaza than to Culvers across from Franklin Middle School.

I know I'm being repetitive but please don't come without your parents' permission - I know where they are coming from. Bring them along if they are hesitant. It is a nice public place with plenty of space for them to hang out over coffee and a newspaper while we all tap away on laptops, scribble in notebooks or joke around about how we're avoiding our writer's block.

Hi - I took part last year (didn't make the 50K) mark, but I'm giving it a go again this year. I am from Greenleaf, which is about mid-way between Appleton and Green Bay. Hopefully I will be able to drop in on the Atlanta Bread Co. get togethers at least a couple of times. I've never really contributed to one of these 'groups', only read what others wrote in them, so this is a new experience. I am off to write!

Wow, did the week fly! I meant to post when I got home from The Atlanta Bread Company on Sunday. It turned out to be just the three of us again. If you came and didn't spot us, we sat in front of the fireplace. For a while we all three had our laptops going full blast. Dagaz is majorly stuck so she took up her knitting to think and I gave in to the need to read last year's novel if I'm to do a sequel this year.

At least ZHe and I will be there again this Sunday, 2 - 4 (ish). We got our NaNo shirts today! So now you know what we'll be wearing - check out the Donation/Store page if you haven't already. We'll try for the fireplace seating again this week. There's a lovely row of tables directly behind the sofa in case you're more of a table person.

Happy noveling!

Where has everybody gone? ZHe and I were all alone at the Atlanta Bread Company again last week. Tomorrow is your last chance! I will be away for the holiday weekend after all. (Not great for my word count deficit but Dads only turn 70 once. It's hard to turn down an airline deal the week before a peak travel season.) I'll be at ABC between 2 and 3:30-ish. I might be alone as ZHe is coughing her head off and should probably stay in bed. Hope to see someone!

Guess I'm going to have to bail. I've apparently caught the bug from ZHe and still have to host a birthday party for my son this evening. I'm going to just rest between now and then.

Good luck with the noveling anyway!

Well, this weekend PWB is out of town and I don't think I have a ride. I will try to make it, as it is the last chance for a weekend write-in this year, but if my father and my word count aren't feeling well at 1:30, I won't go.
