I'm sure there's a lot of you doing NaNoWriMo this year! Some of my favs are Elfen Lied, Tsubasa Chronicles, Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, Card Captor Sakura, Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist. What anime do you guys watch? If there's enough of us, perhaps we could set up a Novelling/Anime evening event!

Hi another anime lover in Sydney, excellent!
----------Well I'll into Love Hina, Serial Experiment Lain, FLCL, Excel Saga, Full Metal Alchemist and of course my favourite of all time Neon Genesis Evangelion, just thinking of all the mythological, occult, psychological references in that make me giddy. Oh and a Novelling/Anime evening event would be the best!

Fancy that! - Anime fans! In Sydney!
I'm from around Sydney, but more the suburbs than than the city. I live close to Parramatta. I also like Serial Experiments Lain, although I've watched all 13 episodes. I also like Azumanga Daioh and Fruits Basket. A few of the somewhat minor ones I like are Fushigi Yugi (got into it for awhile but stopped) and Bleach. I've also gotten into Ouran High School Host Club and Karin (but only to episode 15).

Wondering if anyone's going to REEL ASIA FESTIVAL (see here http://hoyts.ninemsn.com.au/cinema/2CHW.asp#reelasia)
----------It's got a combination of anime and asian live action over a week.
Although I have exams around that time I think a couple of anime flicks would serve as a nice break.
Anyway it's at the Chatswood Mandarin from 18 - 24 October .

I've been put onto Anime by an online friend and I've been quite loving it.
Elfen Lied and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya were fantastic. Hariihism!
Just working out what to watch next. I really enjoyed Scrapped Princess and loved R.O.D The TV (obviously I'm a bibliophile).
Since those four series I haven't really watched anything. Guess my enthusiasm flagged a bit.

Hello guys,
Woooo ... so much anime, so little time ...
Some of my favourites include Honey and Clover, Noir, Hikaru no Go, Hajime no Ippo, and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex I and II.
However, I find that watching a lot of anime really erodes your creativity/writing ability. Instead of thinking about how to fashion words into something beautiful, I start thinking about the beauty in character design, and colours, and stylistic cinematography (in anime, that is, haha). I start to visualise scenes or plot bunnies, rather than think about how to express them in words. Does that make sense?

@ IRishRaM: I'm from Pendle Hill. Actually, I'm kinda moving to Stanhope Gardens now, which I don't think is near Parramatta (like my location says) so I should probably change what my location says.
