On Friday, 10/12, I was moving from Philly to Pittsburgh, when my cat slipped her leash and bolted across the Midway Plaza on the Turnpike. The State Police told me that is Bedford County.
If anyone finds a long haired tortoiseshell female cat, weighs around 8 lbs, please catch her and let me know! She's over 13 years old, and I'd really like to get her back. She answers to Muffy.
Also, she is not a nice kitty, so take precautions. Her shots are up to date, but that doesn't mean she wont bite.

I will look at the Midway travel plaza tomorrow morning. I normally go to the travel plaza on the east bound traffic side of the turnpike, but can also look on the west bound traffic side since you were probably over there headed to Pittsburgh. I take the back road and park in the employee parking lot to get my Starbucks fix so I don't actually have to get on the turnpike. Also there are two local veterinarians here where people bring lost animals :
Veterinarian Medical Center 609 Hospital Dr, Everett, PA 15537 (814) 652-5108 and
Old Bedford Veterinary Clinic 112 S Bedford St, Bedford, PA 15522 (814) 623-8175
I'll report back tomorrow.
Update-I looked up and down the access road twice and didn't see the kitty. You might also call the Bedford Municipal Township office as they are located across the access road (Shed Road) from the travel plaza and have quite a few employees who drive that road regularly. 814-623-7879.
