Anyone interested in a kick-off or pre-kickoff get-together / meeting / advice-party / meet & greet? I figure the 31st is out; but maybe the 30th or sometime in the first week of November? It's my first year as a Wrimo; so, I thought it'd be nice to meet some (or all) of you.

Let me know here, yeah?

That sounds like a nice idea.
Think we could all think up a meeting place?

I was thinking Barnes & Noble or one of the coffee houses around town... There's a new one on King Street with a patio and umbrella tables.

But I'm up for just about anything.

Barnes and Nobles sounds good to me! :) I can meet the week of, but because of college and stuff to do with college (blasted practicum), I can meet Sunday (10/28), Thursday evening 11/1 (about 6pm), or Friday 11/2 after 12pm.

Just one question - how do we know eachother?

I can't really do Sundays after 7pm (well, I guess I could once); but otherwise, my evenings are open. Thursday and Friday both sound good to me. How do we get more people in St. Aug to come out? drop them emails through the site maybe? And I have no idea how we'd know one another - bring a book maybe? Something else?

I'm picturing those movie moments - "look for the man with the white carnation in his lapel".

Maybe just hang around outside and ask everyone who goes in? Are you a wrimo? hah! I can just see the looks on their faces.

Haha. Barnes & Noble sounds good to me, but I don't know if I can make it at all.
:(
I have to rely on family for rides, and my number one hope for a ride just got their car taken away...

Sunday's today, and so I assume that's out. But the hour does well and truly draw nigh. Let's say we make it a Firm Thursday or Friday and then people can come out or not... I figure - we miss some people and they want to meet we can do it again later. A milestone meeting or something. A pep-rally.

I'm imagining a time-frame after 5 but before ridiculous. What say you?

I've decided that I'm going to go to Barnes & Noble Friday after work (re: a little after 5-ish) and hang out for an hour and drink an over-priced coffee. Anyone wants to come out and say hi, I'll be the overweight chap with long hair and a red Hawaiian shirt on. Drinking the over-priced coffee. Probably writing something on my laptop. What a cliché.

If I see you, then I'm looking forward to it. If not...

well; at least the coffee doesn't suck.

PS. I can go Thursday instead if I get a message before the end of the day.

I'll be there today at that time. :) I'm deaf, by the way, but I speak well. I'll be the petite chick with a gray Flagler College shirt (letters in white). Looking forward to meeting ya! :D

GAH! Sorry I couldn't make it. Stupid exams to study for....

'salright. The coffee wasn't crap; and I met this odd old man from Yugoslavia who just sat down at my table and started talking to me.

My laptop ran out of battery power; and I was on a roll (with no paper); so I wrote three or four hundred words in my cell phone's notepad program. I don't recommend it.
