I once again apologize for this, but I do not have the exact address for this place...
The Bismarck NaNo kickoff party will be taking place at Parallax Computers and Games (on Broadway, across the street from Dairy Queen and between Feist Electronics and D'Joyce Photography). The date and time for this: October 29 (Monday) at 6:30 pm.
Anyone new can meet the old timers and the old timers can figure out exactly what it is we'll be writing... if you haven't decided, that is.

I'm going to be lazy and c&p from the other thread ,... should have put this here in the first place:
As usual, I won't be able to be there for very long, because that's a workday for me. But I can probably stretch my dinner hour and stay a little extra.
The address for Parallax is 231 W. Broadway. It's right across the street from that little Dairy Queen you can see from Washington Street (which is re-opened, yay!) And, actually, it would be a great place for write-ins too. I'm not just saying that because my husband owns the place. ;) The game room in back has tables, chairs, outlets (a few, anyway), and they're open late several days a week. And there's drinks and snacks available.
I will bring all my leftover goodies from previous years, and LimeCat can distribute them to new people, or veterans who want more goodies, I suppose. There are buttons, stickers, and temporary tattoos. There are probably new goodies this year, too, although sometimes they're slow to arrive.
Looking forward to meeting all the Bismarck folks!

Dang it--there's a Harry Potter thing at the same time that day!
When will the NaNo party end--if it's after 8:30, I should be able to make it. *crosses fingers*

There are Harry Potter things in Bismarck ?! since when?
Also, I just realized that's a Monday, and Parallax closes at 7 on Mondays. They kind of have to, because I am at work and Andrew has to take the kids. Was he going to make special arrangements for that day?
Maybe a different day or time would work better ...

Yeah, Ali LaRock, who does Harry Potter book discussions and art classes, is holding a sort of, for lack of a better word, wake to morn the end of such an amazing series. You have to have attended a discussion or art class in the past to attend--and have read all seven books, of course!
Plus, Mondays just don't work well for a lot of people!

Ooo... um, whoa.
Well, I will attempt to get one of the two employees to send a break my way, then. I know one of them will be good for it.

The Wordsmiths can ONLY meet on Mondays, we all have other stuff going on other days of the week. We're just opposite of your opinion on Mondays.
Hmm. Maybe I will have to have 2 kickoff parties. :)

Kickoff party is at Parallax.
Sorry if there was any confusion. We'd worked it out already, and although their standard hours are until 7, we have worked it out to have them stay open later.
