I heard about this through online friends, so I was curious if there was anyone else in my area.

I'm so excited, I've already started getting ideas!

I live in Lima and also found out about this through some online friends.

I am very excited and have an idea of what I want to do. I am beginning to think I am in a bit over my head though. :) Have you ever done anything like this before?

No, I never have. I'm really excited though!

I figure if I don't hit the 50,000 mark, at least I'm giving it a shot. Besides, it's a huge motivator.

;) We should swap when we're done, or meet up or something. Just be more incentive to have it done before the deadline! XD

Dang! I wish I'd explored this 'Ohio: Elsewhere' sooner. I'm from Columbus Grove (close enough to Lima?). I've already won this year! And this is my second year participating. I list my home region as Ada - because that's the nearest town in the list of home regions.

My novel this year was/is an original about a police detective's wife who became the elusive Madame of the local brothel. It's a confession, after the fact, about how this came about. It's an emotional story of lies and deception and it's a piece of crap. But it was fun to write.

Last year I did a Harry Potter fanfiction story... not overly original but, hey, I got my word count in and the story was actually half way decent.

Maybe next year those of us in the Lima area can do a kick off or some writing parties?

Good luck to all of you... you still have six days - it can be done!
