Shalom Everybody,
As the Elsewhere::Israel ML I'm trying to create opportunities for as many of you to meet face-to-face as possible. That's what I signed up for, and I'm looking forward to creating them to the best of my ability.
To actually make them happen I'm going to need some assistance. Thats where YOU come in!
Right now I could use assistance in writing a few dozen emails to try to identify where you all reside. Just broadcasting isn't working. Maybe if we send a personalized email to each and every person associated with this region who actually happens to live here, we'll have a clearer picture of who lives close to whom. From there it will be easier to make this happen.
Let me give you an idea:
- In Jerusalem there are over 24 people registered with this region. Who knows how many are NOT registered!
- I identify eight people in the Kefar Saba / Rannana / Hertzeliya area
- There are over thirty in the Tel Aviv area
- In Haifa and Kariyot there are five
All this based upon what these good people wrote in their Author's Information. The rest wrote "Israel". If we could solicit the specific city everyone lives in, it would be possible, for instance, to let the eight, ten or fourteen people in Kefar Saba / Rannan / Hertzeliya know about the others (in a safe fashion) and I could help them organize a get-together. In the same manner we could do similar things for the rest of the country.
Who has a couple of hours to help out this weekend?

Hmm, I'm from Modiin, meaning I can get to either Tel Aviv or Jerusalem pretty easily so long as it isn't on weekends.

Hey,
I'm here working for a couple of months. Currently staying in a hotel in Herzliya, working near Ra'anana. Hopefully will be getting an appartment in Tel Aviv in the not to distant future.
Not sure about meeting up. Definately sounds like a great idea... as long as at least someone talks to me in English and not Hebrew ;-) First NaNo, first "serious" fiction writing (my journal, though fanciful at times, cannot be called fiction :) ).
Novel will be set both in England - home, and the Red Sea. Probably going to be Egypt, but thinking about it, Eilat might be better :D
