Well,

It's that time again so if anyone else is from Stoke or the surrounding areas, if you want to meet up or anything, that would be great. Let's make this a year we all pass. I have taken part for 2 years and have never passed the 50k mark but let's hope its third time lucky!

Seeya,

Paula

Hi there! I'm at Keele right now, with one other participant. I'd be glad for a meetup!

Sounds good. I've been to Keele once or twice, its right in the middle of nowhere, heh. Yeah, bring many people, the more the better I say.

Hi,

I work in Stoke. It'd be nice to have some writing buddies closer to home than Birmingham!

I'm getting nervous about 1st Nov as I've got nothing to go on at the moment! No plot! Nothing! ARGH!

Hey, the more the merrier I say.

Yeah, a lot of people don't have an idea until the last minute so you arn't alone there. I'm sure you'll come up with something. Besides, not having an idea means you have more to play with.

I can't believe how close the start of November is. I swear it was September like yesterday!

Yeah, if you are free at anytime, it would be nice to meet some fellow nano-ers.

Hiya! I am the other Keele-ite *wave* I am going to be mad busy and have a few hefty deadlines coming up so the pressure is on. I am determned to make it to 50K like 2005 (the only other year I have participated)

It would be great to do a meet up, and I am sure we can all find somewhere Keele or Stoke I don't mind, where where we can do a write in.

Hey,

Look at all those word counts already, I really need to get myself in gear, I've only got 800+ words down.

Darn those long hours at work!

Hello!
I am (sadly) in California right now, but I lived in Stoke last year. Hopefully i'll be moving back soon!
Just wanted to say 'hello' and 'good luck' to all the Potters!

Ahhhhh, come on word count, go up.

Hey,

How is sunny California? Much better than drizzly Stoke, I imagine?

So, anyone up for a meet-up at the weekend? Sunday is better for me than any other day but if not, I'm sure we can work something out.

Much drier, but just as cold, if you can imagine!

I'm on third year english, currently doing creative writing with Jim. Had no idea about NaNo, was just messing about on google, probably a bit late for me to start and masses of deadlines but i'll certainly have a go!

Wouldn't it be better if this was moved to April when we all do naff all for a month???

Hmm. This sounds like an exciting game of "Who Am I?". Ok. Did you do Creative Writing in 2nd year too?

We should definitely have a meetup in the final week, at least, with everyone from Stoke, so that we can bash out the final words in company and sympathy.

Ehehe. I never did get around to reading it. ;-)

How goes your NaNo? Are you fitting it in between your creative writing, or are you including stuff for class in your wordcount?

This is Simi. Ehehe...Hi. ^_^;

This is sort of strange. I didn't think I'd know more than one person who was doing nano. But nice to know that I'm not the only one in Creative Writing. Hoorah!

I wish I was doing creative writing :(

Anyway, when are we all going to meet up and go for a pint (if you want one)? It would be nice to have some people to chat to about how bad its going! I'm so behind on the word count, it's not funny!

Hmmm. Are people willing to trek it all the way up to Keele? If not ... can we compromise with Newcastle? Am penniless. :( Gios is a good cafe in Newcastle, cheap and tasty food, booths large enough to squeeze 6 people in.

And on Saturdays, they do student nights as well, I think. For the ones who are REALLY penniless. But I'm thinking it's better if we go during the day, less people, quieter music makes for a better, more productive day, right?

At any rate, count me in.

I can do Newcastle. During the day is better for me as I work in the evenings. Cheap and cheerful is also better. I like your thinking :)

My titles are really that transparent, huh? Heh, well just goes to show that I seem to have a trademark going or something.

Look on the bright side, evenm if you don't make the word limit, there should be plenty of stuff you could use to make up your portfolio, especially if your nano/novel fits into the theme you're working on.

I've been meaning to read Eragon for a hell of a long time but I've never really gotten around to it. It's got dragons in it, what's not to love?

So how about a meeting at Gios? Say, next Saturday afternoon? Is anyone up for that?
