Hey all, I'm a senior this year at a high school not too far from Dayton. This year will be my fourth year doing Nanowrimo, and I'm definitely excited about it! The first two years I went solo, but last year I got a couple of my friends to join in doing it with me, and even more decided to go for it this year, which is also very exciting. I was just wondering how many other high schoolers from around the area are doing Nanowrimo.

My friends and I are planning on doing some six-thirty a.m. writing sessions this year at Starbucks or Barnes and Nobles by the mall right before school, as well as quite a few after-school writing places at places to be determined. I was wondering if anyone had any similar plans, or if they needed a supportive writing group for this year ^_^

Welcome back to Nano!

I know there are several people that like to write early in the morning. I'm not one of those myself! We currently have several places reserved throughout the month that will be put up for folks to come join us for write ins. I'll try to figure out a good way to get the calendar up soon. We'll also be giving out hard copies at the kick off party. Hope you can join us for the party and write ins when you can! Everyone is welcome!

Hey there. Junior from Centerville/The Ville. Sophmore year doing NaNo though.

Luckily for me, I've managed to persuade some of my friends into doing NaNo this year, and hopefully these friends will have the attention span to actually write more collectively than 5,000 words. I'm a fantasy writer, and it's particularly great to have some other high schoolers from the area around.

Writing in the morning definetly sounds like a great idea, but I really don't think that I'd be able to do it. -Morning person to the negative-

Hey! I'm a junior at CHS, and this is my first year doing NaNoWriMo. I probably couldn't make it to any early morning sessions, but I'd love to come to any after-school meetings.

Congratulations to all who finished NaNoWriMo this year! My first time doing this, it was a challenge I wasn't expecting, but am glad that I pushed through to the end. I did actually end up writing just until, like, two minutes before 12:00 the last night. I was so tired, but also determined, and afraid that I wasn't going to make the cut-off. Gladly, those evil last 10,000 words came to me like an overflowing river rushing over my head. It was difficult. I'm not going to lie. But I loved it! Thanks to everyone for encouragement and support, thanks to fotwini for befriending me, and thanks to everyone for trying. I'll be back next year, for sure. I promise.
