FYI for CNYer's:
I was poking around the list of regions, and I discovered Syracuse is now a region of its own. No action in the forum yet though.

There's no action because no one STARTED an action XD
....I did, though, I think! I really want to see more people active in Syracuse this year!

Does Syracuse include the surrounding area, I've from Auburn. ANd even if it doesn't I wasn't sure if I could be much help in the area based stuff, as I currently reside in Rammstein Germany(army spouse). BUt the only pages I saw when I joined that where for germany, were for the most part in german, and for germans. They has sense been started a group for people in my area, but its not where I'm from and I was hoping to speak with more people where I'm from, if that makes any sense to people. Sorry if I wasn't supposed to poke in here, good luck with your own work!

You're welcome to post on the Syracuse forum. There's not a lot of activity there yet, but maybe you'll get some discussion going!

Hey, I'm from Auburn! Nice to see someone else from here. Although I'd rather be in Germany too! ;)

We could call it the salt potato region instead of Syracuse ?
That way anyone who has eaten them or even knows what salt potatos are would know that they would be welcome here
I'm just saying that because I lived in Florida for seven years and the only thing I really missed from CNY were those tiny little killers and of course very few people down there knew what they were and even though we tried to duplicate them it just wasn't the same
Glad we've got our own are though - Very Cool !

I miss ton's of things from the cny area, but I think mostly I just miss being stateside, haven't been home in over a year, and I've been living here for the last 3 years. SO much is different and yet soo much is the same. I miss apple picking this time of year the most, haven't found any decent farms, or ciders over here yet, and apple cider donuts, forget it. Fall is my favorite time of year at home so its when I miss it the most, the few visits I've had back there have all been during the summer.

I live downstate, but I'm an SU grad, so I affiliated with the Syracuse group first.
