So...any highschool/college student novelists out there? I think we had a few last year...anyone still around? Anyone new? There's still time to harrass some friends into doing NaNo with you, too.

Anyway, I'm a junior at Freeam high school, I'm taking three AP classes, I seem to have inexplicably volunteered my services to more strange extra curriculars and committees than I can count, and I'm definitely looking forward to blowing stuff off in the name of The Novel.

Just thought we should have a thread of our own. :)

I think you're in luck this year. There are 25 teens affiliated with the Spokane Region. However, only 7 of that 25 are active so far (but there's still hope that the rest will log in soon).

*waves hand* I'm a college student! I'm attending Kaplan University. It's not in our area but I take it online. :p

Does it count if I still feel like a student? I don't feel old enough to be considered part of the Adult world but I know I am. I graduated with an associates two years ago so technically I'm still College age....*shrugs* I hate growing up.

Hai! I'm a college Freshling! I'm new, too. I'm really excited to participate in this event (or I'm just slightly excited because it's nearly 2AM)!

I'm a senior at Whitworth. School and The Novel are going to make for an interesting juggling match.

Hey, sophomore at Whitworth here. I'm taking eighteen credits, so it's gonna be a bit of work keeping up this year...

But worth it, I'm sure.

Eastern sophomore here! I'm only taking ten credits right now, but I work - retail, so November will be crazy. Oh well!

The nice thing about being a student, imo, is that there is usually a stronger desire to procrastinate on homework than on writing, so you end up doing plenty of writing to avoid homework!

I'm also a sophomore at Whitworth... chemistry major and I'm going to try and find time to do NaNo this year. Since I know I won't be able to do it next year (hoorah for upper division physics from Dr. K), I might as well have a go at it now...

Senior at Mt. Spokane High School checking in. It's going to be a very busy November, what with college applications and AP classes (And my 18th birthday is on the 8th! Hurray!) but I'm looking forward to building up that word count. My friends all think I'm crazy for doing this. They're probably right, but at least I can check in with you fellow crazies every now and then. :)

Gonzaga University sophomore. I find that the biggest challenge to my writing so far has been my boyfriend... he keeps wanting to do things while I need to write!

Freshman at Whitworth. Wow! I didn't know there were so many of us Whitworthians.... we should organize a write-in. Any suggestions for a time/day?

We honestly should organize one, because here's another Whitworthian (a senior) reporting in. And also because my word count is flagging. ;)

GU sophomore. NaNo's been on the list for a few years now, so I thought I'd finally give it a try. I

GU Junior. I've started, but I have so much on my plate, that it doesn't really look like I'll get much done at all this month.

Le sigh!
