Alright, it is time to decide when and where to hold our weekly write-ins! Since the kickoff party will be on the Saturday, it will double up as a write-in as well. After that, when is convenient for people?

I am unable to do Saturdays after the 3rd, but I am good for almost any other day. So, post below what weekday/s are best for you and specify if you prefer day, evening or night time.

Also, I am planning to have some activities planned out this year. Last year, I was trying to get a feel for how things work out and I have a bunch of ideas for activities we can do to up our word count. In addition to the above, let me know which you prefer:

*word wars without prompts (writing for a specific period of time, as fast as possible)
* word wars with prompts (writing for a specific period of time, as fast as possible about a random topic)
*draw of the hat prompts (pull a mood, sentence etc out of a hat and write about that)
*chain stories (each person writes two or three sentences in a story before passing it on to the next person)
*character description (get to know your characters in three paragraphs)
*paint a picture in words (from a random image, write a story)

Week nights are out for now-I'm working from 4-midnight for the next little while (Actually, I'll find that out for certain this week sometime).

As for your ideas, these are the ones I like:

* word wars with prompts (writing for a specific period of time, as fast as possible about a random topic)
*draw of the hat prompts (pull a mood, sentence etc out of a hat and write about that)
*chain stories (each person writes two or three sentences in a story before passing it on to the next person)
*character description (get to know your characters in three paragraphs)

Sunday nights work very well for me. Any nights but Thursday or Monday, really. Evenings or nights, preferably.

All your activities sound good to me. Partial to the word wars, with or without prompts, and the hat prompts.

I'll try anything though I'm not sure how well I'll do and if I can get my paws on a lab top for the occassion since I type sooooo much faster via a keyboard then manually. I'm sort of hoping, praying that my spouses friend will let me borrow his lab top but I don't know since he uses his for school.

*am slightly concerned about the note book thing*

I'm better in the later afternoon and evenings especially since I'd likely have to count on hubby for transportations and hopefully he'll not be anal about me meeting you guys like he has been in the past.

Weekdays are nearly impossible for me, since I got to boarding school. I have time on Wednesdays 3pm-9:30pm or Sundays, as long as we end before 9:30pm.

I like the idea of word wars with/without prompts, draw out of the hat prompts, and chain stories.

Hehe, I'm so excited for this =]
