Just spent an hour at Starbucks and jotted down three pages of notes as she told me a little about herself. She's already got a personality of her own, and is already dictating some things I never would have imagined....I'm itching to get her on "paper"!!

still sorting her out but is interesting.

I have spread my dreams under your feet;

Sadly mine hasn't said all that much to me...
She'll peek in from time to time and comment about my planning... "Oh no, that's not going to work." or when I'm trying to describe the hero she'll tell me (in a rather bashful tone) "I really do like him." but otherwise she's fairly shy.
And said hero is an enigma who plans to stay that way. He's a tease as well.

Mine popped in last week and let me know her first name and that she'd like to kick the intended-selfish-ex-boyfriend's butt. Oh, and that she thinks my boyfriend is cute and would like one just like him, please. That's about it.

Oh, she's talking, alright. Just to other people. I feel like I have to drop a few eaves to figure her out. I just have to sit down and try to get the information out of her. She goes out of her way to be as bland as possible.
And she's really good at it.

Mine told me that she has an ex-fiance that things didn't end so well with, and that she's afraid she might run into him again soon. I had no idea... I really wish this was something I'd known about BEFORE going and setting up the plot! Bah! Lol.

It's funny, my ideas started out as a chick lit novel, but one comment (throwing someone off the side of the Luxor...LOL, yes dawnsy that's me) took me into a more mystery novel plot, with lots of chick lit elements... let's just say my killer is killing due to being betrayed by many people, along with wanting to be in the spotlight, if that's not chick lit, I just don't know what is. LOL
All of my main characters are talking to me, even talking back to me, one is very unhappy he is going be murdered in the story, he is fighting for his life....LOL (trust me when I was working on his character outline, he got angery when I listed him murder vic number X. I could hear him screaming at me, then pleading, it's funny. He even told me he'd treat the MC better if he ever got the chance) He's the love interest of the MC and the killer doesn't like the way he hurt the MC in the past.

She's trying to narrate the story. >_< I want to write it down, but I know that's cheating!

My sidekick charachter in my current WIP whispered in my ear that she was tired of being the sidekick and wants HER OWN STORY. So, I am indulging her. I don't know that hers will be my NaNo project. I still have a few days to decide.
My other female lead has a job in a pizza place and isn't happy about it. She's taking her agressions out on my poor, unsupecting male lead. She's playing him like a violin, and she still thinks of herself as a "good" girl.

She has only said one thing, in reference to a picture of herself and her father. Otherwise she has been keeping pretty quiet, or maybe it is that I thought I was supposed to block her out. Woops.

I'm gonna be honest, I thought ya'll were crazy when you were talking about your characters talking to you.
But mine's finally managed to say something at least. Just her name--Eleanor, or Elle, for short.
So there is hope for me yet! Lol

Yes, she's talking. In fact, she won't shut up! I'll be in class and she'll tell me something that's happened so I have to take the nearest piece of paper that I'm not using and jot it down. She also gave me her full name: Wednesday Anotoine BonJovi. Her nickname's Wendy and she's constantly being made fun of for her last name. She's a girl with really bad luck and she first sees the 'love of her life' (a bit dramatic, right? She's only fourteen!) when she falls down the stairs after leaping at her friend to steal a french frie from her [her friend moved and down Wendy went!]. It's quite sad, really. If I were her, I'd kill myself. Okay, I wouldn't but I most definitely wouldn't go out—she's SO unlucky!

Excellent!!! I have been trying to jot down the little snippets here and there I've heard from my MC - but now that the date draws near, she's gotten very very quiet. I think she's trying to get me back for not being very attentive to her from the beginning.
Having taken a long holiday from Nano, I'm a bit rusty!!!!
I'm using ZuluPad and outlining as much as I'm able to!!! Five more days, can you believe it?!?

Ugh. I can't wait until we get our Starbucks built. I know I'll get something done in there.
I'm starting to think my MC is a mute. When I'm writing personality sometimes I'll see her shaking her head, but other then that I got nada. >.<
I think I'm going to get a friend to sketch an image of her for me. Maybe that'll make her more excited?
(Dude. Starbucks. Major epiphany right there.)

Mine has told me she's a liar, and that's about it really. But it makes for an interesting plot-idea... Maybe she's told a fib or two, maybe she lies all the time. What does she lie about, how does she cover up her lies, what will happen when someone finds out she's been lying...

It's funny I have more than just MC (not a complete chick lit novel but hey there is alot of chick lit in it) and one of characters also told she is a liar. She also told me what she is lying about and it honestly is some of the biggest plot twists in my novel due to her lies. Also another character believes her lies. So she doesn't seem them as lies. I guess my characters are all just very immoral. Well they all do live in Vegas, Sin City baby!

This is funny. Well, my MC hasn't really "talked" to me yet. I hope she will soon. But I am making character maps and I hope some inspiration happens. I'm excited to write this all down. Hope all goes well this month. :D

My MC has been tapping my shoulder for the past few days, poking me in the ribs, saying, "Get on with it, already! Who the Hell told you to wait? Get going!" She's pretty impatient, expects a lot of herself, and definitely Does Not Need a Man. Or so she thinks.
My male MC just grins indulgently at her and deliberately moves behind her to breathe on the back of her neck while she's trying to tell me what I should be writing and why I should get started now. She swats him away, annoyed, but he just gets right back in the same spot, this time putting his hands on each side of her, penning her in. She finally pushes him away with both hands, knocking him on his denim-clad behind, where he sits and admires the view, still grinning indulgently. He knows she's toast as soon as he gets his hands on her. He ignores me, though. He knows what he needs to do and doesn't appreciate my cramping his style.
