Okay, so I got together with Poofiemus Unique and Wraithsshdw and we've come up with a date and place for the kick-off party.
When: Sunday, October 28th, 3:00 PM
Where: PETER PIPER PIZZA. Update: Just made reservations there for 12+, so hopefully we have that many show up! I would be so excited!
-------------------
Note: Sorry, geistbear. I have a plan for going to Pay 'n Take eventually throughout the month, okay? I know you personally like going there, and I'd like to give it a try as well :) I've actually *gasp* never been there, and I'm up to trying new things.
Here we will be pumping each other up, sharing NaNo horror (and success) stories, discussing plot(holes) and characters, and more. It will be a blast, and I encourage all of you to make it if possible.

Before 6 p.m., preferrably around noon.
Yaay! It's happening soon! :D

Wow, I just realized how sad and pathetic I really am. I got this small jolt of excitement when I saw that Cory had posted because it was someone I personally knew. XD Wow.
Seriously, guys, please show up to the kick-off party so I can actually personally know the rest of you and stop being such an a-social looser. -_-
Oh, and Cory: We've pretty much settled on 3'Oclock because I think that's the soonest I can escape my clingy parents this weekend, so yeah, no around noon for you. Come back one year. =P

I totally mis-read that. 3 is fine, I start work at 6 though, so the closer to campus it is, the better.
We could probably have it at Peter Piper Pizza, we could even register it as a birthday party -- or at least make sure that there's not already a million parties going on.
Also, it's okay to be excited when somebody you know posts a reply to a thread, I get all excited when I see a reply on the flagstaff forum pop up. :D

Sounds good to me. Just pick where...may I suggest bookmans?

I enjoyed Pay N Take past years, but Bookman's works well too. I have a PT gig on Sundays but I can probably show up about 4pm or so...

I actually like the Peter Piper idea. But Pay n Take and Bookmans are also in the running (I think also IHOP and Dennys were as well when we last spoke?) Unless there are other ideas within the next 24 hours, I think we'll close it on these three options and I'll discuss it with Poofiemus and Wraithsshdw.

We may do Bookmans. It's in the running. I know we will have most if not all of our write ins there, because it's super awesome! We'd love to have you show up, I don't think I've met you before. I'm Michelle, one of your (three?) municipal liaisons. Pleasure to meet you!

Come on guys, RSVP!!!
I know not having a set location might make some of you nervous, but we can't set a location if we don't have at least a rough idea of how many people we need to crowd into the space.
Pay n' take
Peter piper pizza
Bookman's
Denny's/IHOP
They all work, but some work better for different sizes, so speak up, would ya!? =D

Wow, guys, I"m sorry I didn't respond to the pressure of picking a place sooner. I vote Peter Piper, because they have food. You gotta love food. And they've got Wifi, too, apparently... :/ Interesting, considering the greasiness level of their food. Anyway, I vote food.

Pay-n-take is age-discriminatory in the later part of the day.... I vote Peter Piper.

But at 3pm when we start it's fine it's only if it's after 6-7pm that becomes an issue, besides even on Saturday's in past years it hasn't been an issue.

Hi all...
I failed last year at keeping up, but I'm gonna try again.
I will attempt to make it to the Party. (Keep in mind I have a 3-hour drive to get there).

I do love food, but Peter Piper doesn't qualify as that to me though... ;-)

Oh, wow. I'd be delighted if you made it here once over the month. That's certainly quite a drive indeed! We'd love to have you come, to be sure.

I know Peter Piper isn't the greatest place for food, but it is a good place to have fun. You don't have to eat there if you don't want to, but I know I'm going to :)

Yes, they do have WiFi! Are you going to bring your computer to the write-in? :D
Also: Yay for Peter Piper! I know someone who works there, so I've eaten there a few times this year, it's really not that bad, they also have things other than pizza, which is cool.

Yay! FOOOOD!
Hey, any of you guys like anchovies? I want to get an anchovie pizza, but I don't want to be the only one with fish breath. =P

I for one, will have to pass on the anchovies! Not a fan, bahaha I'm sure there's someone out there who will split one with you!

Well, it's too bad that Peter Piper has totally and utterly eschewed anchovies. I'll just have to find myself another anchovy supplier in town. :(

I, for one, can't believe they didn't have them. So weird, to be sure. But I had fun, and that's all that matters.
Oh hay, I added the first write in to the events section *dance*

Sorry I missed the fun a friend showed up in town without warning and hated to be a bad host, I'll catch up with everyone at a Write-in.
