Any ideas yet? Where's it gunna be? Who all is able to go?
This will be officially my first year living -in- Rochester (moved from Preston up here into an apartment, northside, this June), so hopefully I'll be able to make it to the kick off event, and any write-ins, etc.

Tom (Improg) and I are in the midst of making arrangements for the kick-off bash. Its going to be a little different from past years, and I think a whole lot better! The noveling kits we're frantically assembling are going to rock, too!
The location isn't set in stone yet, but I can tell you that it will happen the afternoon of Sat, Nov 3, probably 2pm. I know that's a few days after NaNo launch, but in the past that's been the best time to get the most people together.
However, we do need a head count. How many people would be available for a couple of hours Sat afternoon (Nov 3rd)?

Looks like the Target Corporation doesn't have me working that day...so as far as I know, I'll be able to make it!

I'll try and make it - nothing seems to be in the way yet.

Hey, everyone. Sorry this is so last-minute. Guess I put too many irons in the fire for October (and my inability to get into the forums without a network timeout hasn't helped).
The official Rochester '07 kick-off will be held this Sat at Buffalo Wild Wings, starting at 2pm. We'll hand out goodie-filled noveling kits, enjoy some grub, and chat about the month to come. We'll also times and locations for our weekly write-ins.
I realize that not everyone can make it Saturday, and for those we'll be holding a sort of mini-kick-off Friday evening at the Caribou Coffee on Marketplace Drive (the one over near Target) starting at 7pm. Map
Hope to see you all there!
