Hello everyone! It's Laura, the Co-ML for the Fort Smith region. I'm starting a new thread, because once we hit 30 posts, it's kind of hard to keep up with who said what. :)
Just a note: There will be no meeting on Thursday 10/26. Shay and I are going to be getting ready for the kick-off party to be held next Tuesday (10/30) at the Sweet Bay on Rogers Avenue across from Lowe's and in between Geno's Pizza and Taco Bell. PLEASE RSVP BY THURSDAY. PM Shay or me. We're doing goodie bags and food, and if you haven't already told one of us you'll be there, you won't get any goodies.:(
Hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for NaNo. I personally have no clue what I'm doing yet. So frustrating.
Laura
P.S. Don't worry about bringing your laptops to the Kick-Off party. If we do any writing, it won't be our usual 30 minute timed writings.

My Idea has changed. I wonder if it will change again before November starts.

Hey, Ft. Smith (and Fayetteville)
Are you Ready to Write??? (said in the wrestling tradition of "ready to rumble")
Good Luck everyone and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday. Come prepared to engage in WAR!
No prompts this time. It will be just you and your novel going mano a mano.
The fun beings at 7 PM, possibly earlier if you guys want to meet at 6 instead. The word wars will begin about 30 minutes after we begin and continue till our fingers fall off or the coffee shop closes, which ever comes first.
Laptops are optional of course and ALL are welcome to attend. We have a great space available to us.

Hey everyone!
How's it going? Are you going insane yet? Have any tips to give your fellow NaNoers? Fess up!
I am possessed by my story. I've been writing like a demon, getting as many words as I can early in the game.
Don't forget the scheduled write-in Tuesday night. We will be meeting at Sweet Bay Coffee Shop on Rogers Ave (NOT by Creekmore Park) at 7pm. I'll be there earlier, possibly as early as 5:30 pm. (that's the plan anyway)
Bring your notebooks, pen, paper, laptops.
Come prepared to WAR!!! We will be working on our novels people and offering encouragement for those who need it.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Living in our region is not a requirement. *waves at the Fayetteville people we have adopted*
I hope to see you all there!!!!!

I'm honestly having a terrible time keeping pace. I'm too busy. :( Still, I'm not so far behind that a slight push won't fix things.
What I find interesting is that I probably learn more about the story by telling others about it than I do by actually writing the story. It's an odd experience.

I just want to thank everyone who attended last night's write it. You are ones who make our events a success. Without you guys, it would be just me and Laura hanging at the coffee shop. :)
How is everyone doing heading into the second week? Any concerns? Still loving your stories?
Hang in there guys! You are a creative bunch of people and I have confidence you can make it to the 50K.

Hey everyone.
Tonight (Thursday 11/15) Shay and I won't be at the meeting tonight. She has a migraine and I have a lot of work given to me when I arrived at work. So, sorry guys. We'll both be there on Tuesday!!!
Keep writing!
Laura
