Hey, I'm in Eau Claire. I'm all for any get-togethers. I know at least one other WriMo'er who's here.

Sounds sweet! I don't have a car or anything, so I'm kind of limited to places near campus. But in a last resort I could attempt to figure out the bus system...and this city. Whatever really. I'm just stoked that there is someone here who knows NaNo and could get me into gear when I get lazy and not write...or my case now write my outline.
So yeah. Hurray for Eau Claire!

Hey everyone:
I live in Eau Claire, and I DO have a car, and I'd be interested in getting together. Maybe Borders over by the mall? They have seating where some local groups gather sometimes...
To be honest, I've been in NaNoWriMo since 2005, and consider myself a novelist, but the first year I wrote about 500 words, and last year I don't think I wrote anything.
This year I plan to complete the *%(%$%$ thing! Pardon my colorful euphemism.
Is anyone else having problems with this site? It seems to load pages extremely slowly. Problem on their end? I have cable internet...
Anyway, let me know when you'd all like to meet.
My name is Ray by the way, not Jubal (that's a Firefly affectation) and I write SF/F.

Hey Ray! You and I are actually really similar. I think in 05 I wrote two notebook pages worth of my novel, and last year I wrote about 9K then I got caught up in a huge term paper that was worth 1/3 of my grade. Wow, wasn't fun so the idea of slaving over two outlines wasn't good.
And I hope to finish this NaNo or bust! Hopefully everyone here will get all up ons when I slack off. Yes.
Don't you love how the NaNo site turns into molasses around November? I remember having to spend a half hour last year to post my word count for the day. Wow.
But my schedule can be really ADD so no week is the same. It's crazy. I'd fail (epic fail) without my planner.
And durh, I'm Natalie. I don't think I mentioned that....because Smoothe or Tangerine are not my real names.

*Raises hand* Ooooo! I'm often found in Menomonie, so Eau Claire's not much of a jump for me. :)
Oh, and I am Katy... unimaginative, i know. ;)

Fantastic!
We have a group.
So we are all going to complete novels in November! We can do it! I have to believe that or I will go totally insane. ==)

I'd love to meet some other EC wrimo's. If Borders doesn't work, we could try Acoustic.

I looooooooove Acoustic! It's so great! But it really doesn't matter where we meet up.

The Acoustic is nice. They have great chili and cookies there! =) I also like the Grand Avenue cafe but that might be a bit cramped depending on how many people we had.
I can pick up those who don' t have a car also. I'm not too far from UWEC/CVTC - I'm on the west side, back behind Ciciones...
We should have a moderator or something that sets up these get togethers. Anyone want to volunteer? =)

I'm in Hudson, WI, near the Minnesota border...about 1 hour from Eau Claire.

I used to go to Hudson and Stillwater all the time with my ex girlfriend... =)
So it has begun. Has anyone started yet?
I haven't, but the day is young!

I'm also attending UWEC, and this is the first year I actually have a fully-developed plot, with an outline and everything! Got the prologue done today, so that's 2466 down...a lot (I'm terrible at math) more to go!
Oh...um...my name's Gail, by the way...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm another Eau Clairean doing this, too. I hadn't written anything in months, so I'm finding the daily goal of 1667 to be incredible motivation. So far so good...
How's it going for others?

Hey guys! We should figure out when/where we could meet up. It would be amazing if we could even if it's only some of us. I wasn't up for it this weekend as I was fighting off what I believed was strep, but has mysteriously disappeared. Strange. But it was good in the long run since I almost got a whole day ahead so I could do homework all today (and watch the Packers whoot!)
So I would organize something if absolutely necessary, but I think it would be better if someone else did (someone with a car?) or we could always meet up at acoustic cafe so it could be an easy walking distance for those from UWEC. Doesn't really matter to me.

I see that everyone has pulled ahead of me in the word count! I hope to catch up to you guys today. =)
If you all want to get together at Acoustic I have a car and could pick up a few people, but I'll be out of town Wednesday...
BTW, I'm taking the NaNoWriMo challenge with no planning or rewriting, so don't be surprised if you read my excerpts and they make no sense, or are really really really (did I say "really"?) bad.
I'm using this as an opportunity to build good daily writing habits, and to generate ideas for a polished novel, so not too concerned about it making cohesive sense the first time out.

I would totally be in for a meeting at the Acoustic. I might have to bring my computer along though, because I'm already a day behind in the schedule I made up :(
On the bright side, I'm 3,000 words ahead of my estimate. I'm starting to think I'll be able to hit 50,000 words easy.
Now, actually finishing the story, that might be a tad more difficult...
