OK, Wrimos! The time is coming fast where we will be engrossed in writing great works of literary genius. Before we begin, let's get together. Talk writing, eat food, SOCIALIZE one last time before we all get so absorbed in our writing that we mutter, "Can't talk - WRITING" at anyone who comes near us.
OK, it won't be that bad. After all there will be write-ins and lots of fun in November too...
So...let's get together. Last year we had a lot of fun and a lot of people meet in Northfield to kickoff the year. But I need to hear from you. I've got Saturday and Sunday open in the afternoon and evening. So, what works? And if I don't hear from you by tomorrow night I'll have to be forced to pick it myself.
And where? Hideaway is always good...so is anyplace else in Northfield.
Lastly, we have people over at St. Olaf's who might need a ride to any events. Volunteers?

OK, everyone, here are the details.
Our Northfield Kickoff will be on SUNDAY October 28th at 7:00pm over at the Hideaway.
For those of you who like bribes I'll have some great goodies I'll be handing out. I hope to see a lot of people here, so drop everything and come by at least for a little bit. I promise you we'll have a lot of fun!

I goofed.
For anyone who noticed on Sunday my apologies. I scheduled a kickoff party at the Hideaway without checking the hours first. So they were closed when I got there. Oops. Still I waited outside and trapped some writers anyway. *waves at Alex and Margaret* and we wound up at Hogan Bros. talking about Life, the Universe, and WRITING.
Tonight, Tuesday Oct. 30th at 7:00pm is our second chance kickoff. At the Hideaway which IS open at 7 because I checked this time. I hope to see you there...I still have goodies. ANd yes I'm willing to provide a ride to anyone who needs it.
Also, if anyone in the Cannon Falls area is interested, I'll be at Brewsters at noon tomorrow for my own little kickoff. I don't even know if we have Cannon Falls wrimos this year but I intend to be there anyway. Takers?
